What's on your Wednesday Menu?
I started with 16:8 (16 hours fasting, 8 hours eating).
Nowadays depending on my schedule I do about 18:6. My eating window is usually 12:00 noon to 6:00, but I'm flexible at either end and I don't fast during the weekend.
One exception, I can't do black coffee so I do dirty fasting.
A great book I'd recommend is "The obesity code" by Dr Fung. He explains the science behind obesity, diabetes and fasting. Very informative and eye opening.

I hope to get back to this once I can find a good way to fit x protein into x hours with the way I'm supposed to eat. Thanks for the reading suggestion.

To ease myself into long IF, i slowly increased fasting time. I would remember time of my last meal the day before (when I finished it) then add as many hours I wanted to fast. That would be my starting point. i.e. Minimum 14 hrs fasting : 8pm last meal of the day, add 14 - I could eat any food until 10am. 16 hrs - 12 pm, and so on.
I practice IF and I still have a minimum of 14 hrs of not eating. But it can be 20 or more if I'm not hungry. But if I'm hungry that day, I keep at least 14 hrs of not eating/drinking any calories.

Best of luck. Sound like you are on the right track :)
G'morning all!
QJB - I admire your attitude. I would have been salty for the foreseeable future. Great job in finding a permanent location gif your cookie classes.
We've been without power since last night due to high winds. Let's hope we get the power back today, because Sheila without coffee is not a pleasant company.
PSA: hear me out and keep in mind I'm not associated with Trader Joes. You will like this product if you like riced cauliflower. Riced hearts of palm (not to be confused with HOP pasta - yuck), looks like brown rice and the consistency is the same. It's in the dry goods section of TJ. I sautéed some veggies (I am lazy so I buy my sauté veggies in the frozen section cut up and mixed), added some Costco chicken bites and voila. The whole box of riced heart of palm is 60 cals with 12 carbs but these are the good carbs. Let me know if you try it out, I really liked it as a substitute for rice. Next time I'll try as fried rice with eggs.
QOTD: both. I go back and forth.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- TJ kebabs + fage yogurt as dip
- protein pudding, jello
- Riced heart of palm, veggies and chicken
- E: 5 miles wog
Happy hump day!
