So far! It's easier to move how I need to here. I think most of it is from having to sit in office chairs a lot and it crumples everything in that zone. It's getting better! And boss is giving me some flexibility with it, even though this is a heavy meeting week in the office. I'm grateful and will definitely take him up on it!

Technically, I'm cleared now (last Wednesday). Given how everything pulls and is tender, though, I'm going to be careful for a while longer out of an abundance of caution for how things are feeling.

Good morning JB and menu friends.

I am very excited and very proud of myself. As I have previously mentioned I had a rough 2022. Knee injury, neck and shoulder issue due to a self induced fall. I was depressed, angry, grumpy and felt that my a1c was creeping up. I made an appointment to see my Dr the first week of January, with a goal of having her prescribe me with Ozempic. I changed my mind, cancelled my appointment, looked in the mirror and wanted to make an effort to change.

I am proud to say I am making that change, I am down 13.4Lbs in 2023 ( 1.91 lbs a week). I am still eating low carb, now eating lean proteins, lower sodium, less processed foods and have not had a drop of alcohol in 2023. I am 6.4 lbs from a long time goal of 205. I think I am going to slide the goal to 195 once I hit 205. I feel so much better.

QJB - you will not regret the 50th Anniversary party. I wish I would have done bigger for my folks!

QOTD - I am usually over 100 grams, I am eating 6-8 oz of chicken breast on my lunch salad and at least 6-8 oz protein at dinner. Joddie is following the lean/low carb with me and we both commented at how fulfilled we seem to be, yet never feel blah after eating

B - Protein bar

s- 2 good yogurt

L - salad with 6 oz chicken breast - g hughes balsamic

S - Shake

D - Pizza Casserole, ground turkey, raos, riced cauliflower, turkey p roni, garlic powder, Basil, oregano, salt and pepper, low fat mozzerrella on top, crock pot for 4-6 hours on low.

E - 10,000 steps.

39 days until we cruise!

Stay healthy my friends, Mike

Hey Mike, congratulations! Those are some great results for the hard work you're putting in. Sounds like you're bouncing back from some rough times.

Also, your pizza casserole sounds great!
