I like the idea of Whole 30, but there are still stuff in that plan that I don't eat - can't if I don't want to have more gut issues, plus additional inflammation in my joints (arthritis).
I eat keto-paleo, but I still eat aged cheese, ghee and butter, but avoid anything with whey. I also avoiding high FODMAP foods, nightshade and fiber.
And the week of March 4th - I will be in San Diego. I have a conference there, and I convinced Keith to come with me. So... I'll be eating out a lot. I can control what oils they use when preparing my food. We are leaving Greenville on the 4th, coming back on 11th. My conference is 6- 9, so we will have some time for each other.

I agree on the no pee on long flights. You might be setting yourself up for an urinary tract infection. Plus, you would have to severely restrict your fluid intake just to make it. I could not do it!
Sounds like a great workout and great accomplishment. I am not sure I could do 50 toe ups either. I haven't done any hanging abdominal work since surgery. Even when I was in good shape when I was younger, I found hanging knee ups difficult.

Mornin' All!
btw Jim - I DO use airline bathrooms now - and I get up every hour or so to walk around and stretch my legs. My fear of airline bathrooms ended abruptly after I'd lost my first 100 lbs. Even at 250-ish, I fit in them just fine and had no fear of getting stuck in there! Whew!
so no big breaks for President's Day here. DH went off to work about a half hour ago, and I have class today at 4:00. I'm going to a Russian Folk Orchestra concert tonight at 7:00. As far as the rest of the day, I'm headed to water aerobics in a few minutes, then I'm going to try to get caught up with reading for my classes. It'll be a nice day weather-wise again today (clear and mid-40s F), but we've got crap on the way again starting tonight - so I may take a long walk today, too (BTW - nutrition class: I already knew this, but maybe some of you didn't - being fit appears to be a more significant factor in health/life than being lean. There's been a fair amount of research on this. Fit fat people have better odds of being healthy and living longer than unfit normal or thin people do (of course, I don't know if by "fat" they mean 50 lbs overweight, or 200 lbs overweight....THAT might make a difference....). So get out there and get some exercise!
B: plain skyr with fruit compote, coffee with half & half

D: I'm getting tired of salad, so I may have chocolate "mousse" with raspberries. Or something.
have a great day, everyone!
oh! Forgot the QOTD: my traditional favorite (or at least the store I most often frequented) is/was Woodman's, which is a chain in Wisconsin and northern Illinois. It's one of those warehouse-types of grocery stores, which is like walking into an airline hangar. They have EVERYTHING - and multiple brands of everything to boot. But during the pandemic, I started shopping at Aldi since Woodman's is too crowded. I'd shopped at Aldi a couple of times before and wasn't that impressed, but i got pretty hooked on it during the pandemic. So now that's my main store - and I go to Woodman's if I need something that Aldi doesn't carry.
Morning everyone. I'm off in just a minute, but wanted to say hi.
QOTD. I don't get the Trader Joes thing. It doesn't appeal to me. Most of what I'd want to buy is their brand of processed crap, and the things I buy, they don't carry. But JB loves it. I prefer Shaws and Market Basket, two of the local chains. During the pandemic, Tyson stopped making the chicken nuggets I lived on, and none of the others I tried were worthwhile. I went a few years without. But Costco has a brand that doesn't have as good nutrition numbers, but they are close, and delicious.
