Hot pot is great fun! We definitely had to bug the waiter to learn about it and not commit any social blunders but would definitely do it again.

So exciting for you to be kicking off this leg of what sounds like an amazing trip to come. Hope you got everything packed, and have a great first day out.

Happy Sunday to you Northern Hemisphere lot! :)

Happy Monday to me and I'm at the office today, haven't been in for over a month, so it's nice to reconnect.

Last day of puree today, soft foods from tomorrow which I am looking forward to.

My lovely dietician called me this morning and she realises I'm an overthinker, assuring me I don't need to stress, I can take any size bite I like as long as well chewed, small bites suggested to avoid pain and build up strength during recovery and start training myself around mindful eating. Was a lovely and supportive chat, I was so grateful.

The life of an overthinker is an annoying one hahaha

Take care all.

Years ago some surgeons did not have a puree stage and people started on solid food immediately after weight loss surgery. They survived. You will be fine. I had RNY in 2007 and still cut some food into small bites to make it more comfortable. The trick is to take it slow and chew thoroughly.

You guys! I'm randomly happy that I tried something new today and it was surprisingly delicious.

Lamb leg steak. I don't like having to admit that I like lamb...but I do. And I seared a steak today for the first time. Yay for some new culinary skills! And for food thermometers. Just happy it worked out.

Turns out, the dogs are also crazy for lamb.

Agree, I would be staring at it like those pups.
