Em, you have a full plate with your surgery and now your mom. When do you have to go back to work? Also, no spices would make me really grumpy so kudos to you for rolling with it and not killing the Dr.

Good morning everybody!
I used to be a donator. Kids selling cookies in the parking lot? Here, take $5. Tins of crappy popcorn for BoyScouts? $10 and Merry Christmas. Mysterious Tootsie Roll sales at the intersection? Take a buck. But , always "no purchases, I'm good, just making a donation."
Ah, the honeymoon period. Sunday I bought two boxes of Samoas and the cardboard has already hit the recycle basket. Marilyn had more cookies than me, but it wasn't 90/10 or anything.
We had a nice chat at Happy Hour last night. One of our friend's children is separating from their Spouse. It took them completely by surprise. Kind of sad, I remember my friend helping to plan the wedding. New Chicago Med/Fire/PD shows on.
Today we are going to a winter cookout at a gym friend's house. You can tell that this is old people because its at 4:30 on a Thursday afternoon. I am in the office today, so we will have to take two cars and meet up. The food should be super healthy.
Tonight Workout 23.1 drops this evening at 7:00 CST. Hopefully it is something that I can do RX. Also, it may snow today.
QOTD: In the short term, I am super excited because I am going to a class to learn how to build a bamboo fly rod this summer.
In the longer term, this is a really good question. Throw in the elements of retirement, mortality, where our children are at, etc. and it is something that I think about quite a bit. What can I learn from scratch that I still have time to become excellent at?
When I told Marilyn about the Wisconsin House, she said "Shouldn't we wait until we find out what DS is doing?" Which is code for if you want a summer fishing camp, buy it near where DS is going to live.
Breakfast: Fritatta
Lunch: Chicken
Dinner: Menu is meats and salads mostly (otherwise know as what I am supposed to be eating)
Have a great day, all!

Ooohh, Lie Nielsen used to make a special bamboo fly rod plane. I think it's discontinued now though.

Oh no, the cookies are out?
The Samoas are my favorite.
I need to put blinders on when I go grocery shopping so I don't see them outside the store selling them.

I looked it up and the official season is January 10 through April. I read that there is a new flavor called Raspberry Rally which fortunately is mail order only because I really like Raspberry.
