I've had four covid vaccines (3 Pfizer and 1 Moderna) never a reaction, I don't know anyone that had any bad ones.

A few took sick days after their vaccine at my work but Australia does have pretty generous workplace sick leave laws so there is that (I'm a cynical person) ?

Very true! I'm lucky, I've never had a bad reaction to any vaccine (and I get all the ones they will let me:-) other than a sore arm. The year I had my flu shot in one arm and my tetanus in the other was not the wisest choice but still only sore arms...It seemed so smart when I thought to do it that way...it was not.

QJB-last time I was a Cheesecake Factory I looked at the Skinnylicious menu but didn't really see anything inspiring. Instead, DD and I shared a meal. Hopefully you can salvage the tacos. Not sure how they could have screwed those up since tacos are so easy. It sounds like you didn't do too bad eating wise overall. Did DH like Titanic? I have no answer for your skin issue.

Yesterday I was tired of looking at the computer screen so decided to go lift weights before my yoga class. I have a meeting this afternoon but will try to get down to the weight room at work to do a weight workout before leaving for yoga. It will save me time not having to drive to Planet Fitness then to the yoga studio.

QOTD: Winter has been colder than normal in my area with more snow. However, the snow has been gone for about a month around town. Yesterday they were issuing a driving advisory for the mountains again! Seems like a long long winter since the cold weather and snow started in October. I want warm weather!!

Good morning! Ok, so I was a slug yesterday. My back just would not support much of anything and I was saying OW! every few minutes. But I ate really well and stuck to jus****er for the whole day. But today, I rolled out of bed, and went straight for a stretching yoga video. Completed that and rolled right out the door for a short walk including only one hill. 25 minute yoga, 16 minute walk. But I moved.

Today we have a fun lunch date and then our friend who is house sitting is coming over for a walk through so I can give her all the details. Like don't put those knives in the dishwasher and those plates can't go in the microwave. Little things. Show her around and give her keys. This trip is coming on so fast!

QoTD: It's very cold and pretty wet here for us. It was 39 on my walk this morning and it never stopped raining yesterday for more than 10 minutes. (Part of my excuse for not walking). We are way up on seasonal rainfall and March is usually our rainy month. I must say that all you peeps east of me talking about warmer than usual weather is making me quite happy since we are heading your way and don't really own anything that you would describe as "winter clothes".

B: left over chili I didn't finish yesterday

L: out to eat, at like a diner type place so not sure!

D: I don't have much to eat left here in the house. Might need to run in to the grocery store and get something that calls my name. Or there is always edamame pasta and sauce.

Peace Everybody!

How long will this trip be? I have it in my mind that this is building up to a semi-full time life on the road but it's not the start of that.

3 to 4 months. We technically don't have to be home until July 1. But our friends know that if we show up back home before the end of May it's to keep us from killing one another. LOL. We don't ever plan to full time. This is the largest trip we have ever taken, and if all goes well, we can see ourselves on the road for a few months of each year and just long weekends out in between.

G'morning all!

QJB - I have no idea what that skin thingy is. If we were watching the last of us I would have said fungi and stayed the heck away from you. Mushroom people are very scary.

Well, my first ever PT appt was kinda uneventful. Because I have two problem areas (knee and shoulder) the first session was just assessment; lots of push here, hold there, can you do this, can you do that. I was very proud of myself when he commented that I am very strong. On the other hand he made me do a move that I couldn't keep my leg up half way and he said gluteus medius (or something like that) is weak. Thought to myself, wait till I tell my trainer, she will make sure my gluteus whatever gets strong in the next couple of months.

QOTD: glorious sunny crisp days on the west coast. Lows of 40s and highs of mid 50s (today) all the way up to 60s (next couple of days.)Yesterday I was running late for my daily workout so I switched and did my 5 miles starting around 4:00 pm. Thank god I had my stretchy headband that can be a neck gear or anything else you want it to be. Half way through it got cold enough that I used it as a balaclava to cover my mouth, nose, and neck to stay warm.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • TJ kebabs + Fage yogurt as dip
  • jello, protein pudding, zero sugar L&F (this is a new item to me, saw it at the store and bought one. Do not recommend.)
  • Taco night, only the innards
  • E: 5 miles Wog

Happy hump day!
