What's on your Tuesday Menu, Valentines?

Good mornin everyone.

The new med they put in my pain pump last Wednesday just started hitting the nerves yesterday morning. Since it is at such a low dose it took that long to work through the catheter from the pump to the spine. I am so incredibly itchy again...it never went away totally but is back with a vengeance. Benadryl and vistaril is helping hardly at all. I've been up up since 11:45. Every time I try to go back to sleep it feels like I'm wrapped in barbed wire. Soooo no sleep for me. It going to be a very long day. I will be texting the pump nurse when they open. At first it wasn't as bad as that initial time but over night it was worse.

I'm feeling very soft brained today...if that makes sense. Little sleep and pain will do that I guess.

On to better news. I really like my new psychiatric provider(she's a pan NP). It was so much better. She listened to me and my concerns. What a relief this is! I am also going to be back with the intake nurse that I like the most.

Gratitudes:

My mom who while not perfect is a pretty darn good friend. We haven't always been best friends but as grown up we have a good relationship.

Kim, the NP I'll be seeing now...it's on telehealth but I do like her a lot. Instead of talking over me she took time to ask me questions and asked my ideas on what I know about my mind.

RAIN and thunder! We got some health rain last night! Woot!

QOTD:

B: duck egg, keto bread, cheese and coffee x2

L: PP shake

D: soup

S: I went a little crazy with cheese it's while up all night. Ugh.

Have you ever tried coconut oil for the itchy skin? I use it on my dog when her allergies flare up and it seems to help out she doesn't scratch as much at all. I also used it on my incisions from my last surgery.

Sorry love you are suffering so much.

Out of the medicines you tried so far- is there one that felt better than others? Itching but manageable?

in my case - when I stress my liver too much - taking opiates can really drive me crazy. Nausea and itching.

When I start scratching, my cat that often sleeps on me starts scratching, and Keith needs to leave the room because he suddenly starts itching all over. Telling us "stop that" results in me and the cat stopping for a second, then resume scratching... Sometimes when my cat's skin is really irritated - he starts biting himself, or me, if any part of my body is close to his mouth.... . I tell Keith that I don't bite when I itch... even if he is close to me...

Really hope they're able to start finding a balance for you. There doesn't seem to be a lot of compromise in which meds might help.

Glad to hear you like your new provider!

Happy Valentine's Day!! JB I love Titanic. It's one of those movies you can watch over and over. I recently saw a documentary about it sad yet very fascinating.

I made up 100 little candy bags for our scale attendant to pass out to the drivers today. Purchased little boxes of candy hearts, cupcakes, and pretzel snacks for the guys in the plant.

Getting out of work at 1:30 to take Meisha to her annual vet appointment. She loves going to the vet and getting loved on by the techs.

QOTD: I'll be staying home tonight. I asked Irvin what he wanted for dinner and he said the wonton soup and shrimp stir-fry I make would make him happy. Ok I can handle that.

5am coffee with raw milk

B: over easy egg and breakfast sausage

L: ham and swiss wrapped around a few pickles

D: stir-fry and soup

Have a great day everyone.

That is so sweet that you made 100 bags to give to drivers. I'm sure it will put a smile on their faces.

The drivers are loving the candy. We are taking pictures so we can send them to our corporate office for our communications bulletin that is put out every month.

I found a weird conspiracy documentary about the Titanic...it was from a few years ago and I just couldn't make it through it. It was nuts!

Was it the one about how it wasn't really the Titanic that sunk, but its sister ship? We watched that one and it was really weird and creepy.
