My mom was the same way with food/color on the plate and I still think of that when I make dinner, lol.

Glad you're still recovering! My mother would be with you about the all brown plate. She craves color and vegetables and hated anything all brown. Or food that touches other food.

I'm pretty good cook, and I like to show some color on the plates. If nothing else- I would sauté a few thin slices of red green/peppers, and add a few leaves of basil or spring onion to top the potatoes, or dill. I don't care if he doesn't eat the "colors". lol. But basil or dill great to top mash taters.

Happy Valentine's Day!

This week is tough. Life ebbs and flows and this is part of it.

QOTD - Dinner with a friend this weekend. I've made sure we are in the same page that this is Valentine's adjacent and not related.

Having a hard time trying to eat consistently. Hitting my protein and water goals. 3 regular meals / day is proving to be a real challenge.

B: nothing.

L: late breakfast of Dannon Light Coconut Yogurt & tangerine.

S: hopefully PP Lunch.

D: something on the go and an attempt at eating well.

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

I'm not sure about the food situation this weekend. I may stop and grab a rotisserie chicken to have some protein to take with me on the go. I have an adequate supply of PP shakes, if need be. There will be some dining out / carry out. I won't be able to cook anything minus microwave or ready to eat out of the fridge. Eating was on point today even if I am just drinking my 2nd PP shake of the day right now.

Jim, I misunderstood your question. My current plan: I'm going to make a couple of prime filets, maybe blue cheese crusted, Robuchon mashed. Starting with shrimp ****tail & prosciutto wrapped asparagus. Key lime pie.

Or if I cant do that, get an easy reso at Wildfire or Gene & Georgetti, RPM, West Randolph etc.
