OMG - my mother was FAMOUS for going into our rooms when we were away and pitching the clothes she hated (as well as much-loved ones that had seen better days - and now had tears or holes). It used to really make my blood boil. I get it now (at least with the torn, holey ones), but at the time - no! Although she'd still be up to her old tricks if she was living with us. I have an old ratty oatmeal-colored sweater that I'm pretty sure was my father's that I wear all the time in the winter as a coat when it's not too cold out. I LOVE the thing. She hates it. Not sure if she hates it because it's getting kind of ratty looking, or if it's because it was my father's (they were divorced). A couple of years ago she bought me an oversized sweater that looked kind of similar but was more beige than oatmeal. Not only do I not wear beige (or at least not anywhere near my face since it makes me look washed-out), but I just didn't like it as well as the old reliable. So it's been hanging in my closet since then. I think she's pretty much given up at this point.

Lol, she's in for a penny in for a pound now. She keeps saying things to me like "I don't remember throwing it away."

The last of the human freedoms, to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances. (Frankl, 1946)
Good morning.
Yesterday I stayed still and quiet. Trying to get my back over the hump with recovery. It still is bad, but it seems like it is more concentrated in a smaller spot and I have to think that means the inflammation and such is reducing. I did basically nothing yesterday but read and watch tv. Food was pretty good though and zero alcohol calories were consumed.
Today we have the grands, and I plan on taking them on a walk to the post office. They'll just have to slow down so gimpy me can keep up. I think it will be good for my back to stretch it out. I am beyond bummed that I am not at HIIT class right now. I feel like each day I can't move is battleground lost that I fought hard for. Weight is still up.
QoTD: we had it on the whole time. It was a good game, but I had no skin in the game, didn't care who won. Mostly I read and stopped to watch the commercials. My favorite was the Bud light dancing to the hold music. I could so relate and I thought it was adorable. Finished reading Olive Kitteridge during the game. What a unique book. Started Maybe you should talk to someone. A couple of my good buddies finally helped my technology challenge self get set up with Libby and I am off to the races with reading choices!
Food is a bit iffy
B: roasted chicken and cottage cheese
L: I just pulled a single size serving of chicken, goat cheese and roasted veggies out of the freezer
D: didn't make the prime rib leftovers last night, I went with left over split pea soup from the freezer and made a ham and cheese baked loaf. So tonight...the prime rib.
Peace Everybody
