Good Morning! JB- enjoy that much needed and deserved rest day. I had a relaxing weekend and got the normal errands and necessary things done. I did get new shoes (brooks) but tried them yesterday and this morning and not loving them so I n going to return them for the Karhu. I opted to wait an additional week for my pedicure.

Sorry the shoes didn't work for you. Have you tried the Hoka Mach 5? That is what I went to after my Brooks, and I love them.

I wasn't a fan of Hoka, I know it's odd but I feel like I am rocking in them. Maybe now just wasn't the time to try a new brand/model.

You probably already know this, but the NBull running shoes that I asked about are only intended for running 5k or so, not serious distance.

As you might remember, I wasn't a big fan of Hokas either. But the second time around I tried the Hoka speedgoat (more for trail running) and I love them.

I second all of your HOKA opinions! I loved the Clifton at first, but then I was sliding and just no. I love the speedgoats for outdoor hiking they are great on trails.

Maybe an option if I ever start any type of trail runs. Mostly treadmill, very rarely in the last few years an outdoor run.

For about 10.5 seconds, I did some slightly-faster-than-fast-walking and went to my local running store. They put me on a treadmill to analyze my gait and sold me Hokas. I returned them within two days for how they felt. The trades were sooo much better.
