Mornin' All!
it looks like we have a great day weather-wise coming up, although I'm supposed to get a delivery today, so I'll probably need to stick close to home - boo. Oh well - I can finish the book for my book discussion group meeting Monday morning (almost there!) and do some reading for classes. I can also spend some time looking for a recipe for a party that we're going to next Friday. Or clean. Or do my taxes. There's always something...
I was able to get in to a dermatologist on Monday due to a cancellation- otherwise the next available appt is in May (no big surprise...). I've had a spot on my neck for months, and my PCP thought I should have a specialist take a look since she doesn't know what it is - although she did give me some kind of antibiotic ointment to put on it, which actually seems to be working. I think the thing is getting smaller! Although it's probably just as well to keep the appt with the dermatologist. She can verify if this thing is nothing, and also do an overall skin check, which my current PCP doesn't do routinely.
B: plain skyr with 2 T fruit compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: another 1/4 section of a chicken wrap I got yesterday at the restaurant (I ordered steamed broccoli as my side, and I was so full after that that I only ate 1/4 of my chicken wrap). Plus either Greek yogurt or a cup of homemade chicken noodle soup
AS: protein muffin
D: pulled pork
have a great Saturday, everyone!
Good morning! Our gorgeous weather is taking a temp dive for a few days. Going from high 70's to low 60. Not too much to complain about.
We had the grands over last night and my roasted chicken was a win all around. I was starving by dinner time. I got in a 30 minute walk, and after stretching out with the walk, was able to do my inside stairs 10 times. Giving me 150 stair steps. Got my booster hormone implant yesterday and I think I am finally done with doctor's appointments until after we return from the trip. I did great on food overall. I did add an afternoon snack of about 20 pistachio nuts and 10 TJ's cheese snackie things. Weight is still up, but a little relief from yesterday.
The "take it on the trip" corner in the dining room continues to grow and I plan on organizing more today. I have one step left on my taxes that I am uncomfortable with, and when the kids come over today to pick up the grands, they are going to help me review it. Then I can hit send. Uncle Sam owes me money and Mama's got a big trip coming up, so I want to push that button! Other than that, we have dinner at a friend's house tonight and I need to stop and find a cute little something to take to the 2 year old. I don't get to see her that often and I am determined to get her to love me even if that means buying her love. LOL. Pandemic babies. We missed out so much on her early days.
Menu today:
B: the last of my seafood chili relleno. (though I have bacon in the oven and waffles ready to make for the grands and Rog)
L: tbd, but I'll pick really well, low carb so I can indulge a bit at dinner
D: I don't know, but they texted and asked me if I wanted grits or pasta as a side and I went with grits!

Good morning ~ You cannot dispute the science of that pic. Coffee for the win! I can't wait to hear about your trip!! I desperately hope your go-pro works for your sled ride!! Yesterday was such a success at work, everything is just clicking into place and it feels great. With my newer position comes more work travel. I have a trip in March and May on the books now and more to come as things roll back to in person. Today we are walking some trails with the dogs, running errands, I'm organizing my closet so I can put clothes away - it's so small this is a regular thing, house stuff. I see a nap too. May run the vacuum if my rib is still feeling okay, maybe not.
Accountability - 100 cal popcorn - why am I doing this?
B- coffee x 2, eggs and avocado
l - RGF chicken strips, buffalo sauce and blue cheese crumbles
d- baked chicken and salad
s - no popcorn, beef jerky
Have a wonderful Saturday!
