Good morning!

Ok, the rock job is mostly done. We still need to move about 1/3 yard of DG up into various planters if we can't find someone who could use it. My back is in revolt. So today I really wanted to do stairs, but I just tried the house stairs and that's a big, fat, definitive NO. But I am going out for a walk so I can stretch it out and hope to do a yoga session today too.

I feel like I did really well eating wise yesterday and put in 3-4 really hard hours in the yard, but the scale is up like 3 pounds today. What the actual hell? We went to a fabulously fun speakeasy last night for happy hour and I got a alcohol free coconut lime spritzer thingy that was very good. Then dinner was coastal mexican and I had a shrimp stuffed chili relleno. I ate about 1/5th of it and can't wait for breakfast this morning to have more. I had 5 chips and 1 bite of refried beans and 3 oz of wine. It was a wonderful evening of just laughing and talking. I love that.

Today is a doctor's appt, a walk, picking up the grands and getting one to gymnastics and then going back for her. They practice for 3-4 hours 3 times a week. It's insanity in my opinion. But they love it. They are also spending the night because mom and dad have a date night today.

QoTD: I am a Hyperactive adult. It is my superpower. Almost always gas in the tank and some to spare.

Menu today

B: chili relleno. So excited!

L: maybe a P3 and protein chips

D: need to roast the damn chicken so that's happening tonight. With delicato squash and sweet potato

Pics are of the project!

Before me and now me.

You are an exerciser now -- and as you build more muscle, you might see fluctuations like that after a hard workout -- I think muscles might hold onto more fluid for a day or so in the rebuilding process but I'm just guessing; I do notice that type of fluctuation for a day or so after an aggressive workout and then back to normal. I would definitely qualify your rock moving week as an aggressive workout week!

I was just going to say the same thing! It's probably because Lisa exercised much harder than usual and she likely tore muscle fibers by doing it. They'll repair themselves - but they need a lot of water to do it. So it's jus****er weight.

Love the patio! Will the DG keep weeds out? We have had mixed results with different types of sand over the years.

Thank you! We did lay down weed cloth first, but when you put down the DG, you "water" it and it becomes very hard and dense. So we are hoping for very few weed issues.

I love the rock garden.
I totally agree with Jen, about hard exercise and retaining fluid. More info in this article.
