Yeesh, I hope you made it back to bed! I like the idea of a follow up show--it would be good to see the successes and struggles.

It isn't weird that you miss the gym. Working out at home is a time saver since no travel time but it is nice to get out of the house or to socialize with other people. We have a full weight room in our garage, a treadmill, and air dyne bike at home, plus all the YouTube instructional videos for yoga but I wouldn't trade my yoga studio to workout at home (love, love the hot room plus the motivation and community). For weights I elected Palnet Fitness since it is a lowly $10/month for the basic membership. They have a good variety of weight machines, some free weights, lots of cardio equipment. I believe they also have aerobic type classes. This is an option for you if there is one available to you in your area just for variety.
I would also like to see a "where are they now" program. For example, those contestants on the Biggest Loser, how many maintained the weight loss and how-which I think would have been difficult since they were on extreme workout programs and eating.

You can get them with or without the equipment - totally worth it my opinion!

Good morning QJB and menuers!
I need to go back and read yesterday's thread. It was a busy day and I expect the next couple to be just as much. Also, you know, rain.
We got out of the escape room with five seconds on the clock, which she may have stopped after watching us struggle with the final lock. So we escaped. Ish. Good enough for me. First time with this team doing that kind of event and it was fun to watch everyone and how they worked through problems.
Got to head to the office today for a few hours including a one on one I'm kind of dreading...then braces! I'll finish the day from home and then work from home tomorrow since my family should be here. Also learned that the hospital will not be doing covid testing unless I arrive hacking all over them. They also only have to place one IV this time, so I'll take the small win.
QOTD- A long time ago I watched a few seasons of the biggest loser. Didn't like how the contestants were treated or shamed, then the news started coming out about their inevitable regain and long-term issues. Never saw any of the new stuff since I don't care for reality show drama and they have to create it somehow for the ratings.
Accountability- Got a shrimp quesadilla for lunch yesterday and had a few bites of the shell while taking it all apart for the shrimp. No rice or beans.
Exercise- Hopping on the recumbent bike here in a minute.
Menu - Last of the chicken parm with risotto, ratio yogurt, protein bar.
Have a good day, everyone!

Good luck today with the braces. I had braces as an adult too.

Thanks! Sounds like I'm not the only one, so that's good to hear. A few others on here have been in this boat. Fingers crossed it won't be too bad!

So much team building is crap but I really like the ones that let you see how people think, problem solve and work together. My favorite was when the leadership team I was on did a cooking class...and I remember the a-ha when a leader I had struggled with and I were assigned to make the whipped cream for dessert. She was over there measuring, looking at the recipe and being very precise....and I had everything in the mixer, ready to go and about to turn it on because who needs a recipe, instructions and measuring for whipped cream. We worked together a lot better after that!
Good luck with the braces!

I totally agree, the cooking team events show you how we approach things.
