What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
We are getting the same weather as you QJB. But crazy enough it is supposed to get to 45° by Sunday afternoon. My hope is that I get to go outside for a run Those stores look dangerous on the credit card. Just way too many choices. I want it all. And who doesn't love the Cup-O-Bacon. Looks delish.
After work I need to run to the bank. I found a 6-month CD paying 4.45% for 6 months I am dumping my general savings into it. I do not see me needing it anytime soon so why not. With my earning it could constitute a vacation. Other than that, the only other thinks on my agenda this weekend are Mom duty and church. Also, I quick stop at the grocery. Aldi been out of Strawberries all week, so I am on the hunt. I need Miralax from Sams. Oh, now that I think about it if things are slow, I might run out at lunch, so I am done.
QOTD: Lotion, Lotion, Lotion. I have every face cream, every eye cream, every day cream, every night cream, foot cream, and body lotion. Just trying to ward off the wrinkles. I am thinking about some face injection around my mouth I am not liking the looks of those lately.
Accountability: everything was good but could not get out of bed to exercise this morning.

As long as you are under the FDIC limit and don't need the money that seems like a no-lose proposition.

G'morning all!
QJB - sending you some CA warmth and hoping for not too low temps. I would love to go to that baking place with you. I don't need all those moldings but it looks like so much fun.
Today I'm going to an orthopedic Dr for two reasons: my right shoulder has been bothering me for ages (more than 5 years) and doing weights depending on what I do sometimes it aggravates it. My trainer by now knows and tries to work around it but still. I have no idea what I did last week but the shoulder is bothering me more than usual. The second reason is my knee (the outer side of my knee) has been bugging me since that last 22 miles hike in Nov. It's fine if I don't jog/wog but the minute I start, especially on downhills, it kills me. I got a knee brace and that has helped a lot. I would have skipped the Dr completely and just dealt with the pain but if it's something that can be taken care of I'm willing to give it a try. My only fear is if they tell me to lay off completely.
Big plans for the weekend. DH and I are flying down to Orange county on Sat for a show and dinner, and while we are down there we'll also go to San Diego to visit DS. I was hoping to meet up with Lisa but she'll be out, so I asked her to give me directions to her "stairs", this way on Sun morning I can do them.
QOTD: you must have been in the car last night, because I was telling DH that when I was in Boston at school I used to work at a restaurant as a hostess, and always made fun of the early bird special people because obv they were older. I couldn't imagine going to a place for dinner at 5:00 pm simply because you could get a 20% discount. Well, last night we left the house at 5:00 because the place we wanted to go to doesn't take reservations, but it's very popular and sometimes has a long line out the door. So we figured if we went early we had a better chance. Heck no, all sr citizens had lined out the door. We didn't get to sit till about 6:30.
Accountability: yesterday was not so bad cals wise (I was in my range) but carb wise I went way off base.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- Chicken salad (I picked mostly the chicken out of the salad)
- 2 Ferrero roche (one white coconut, one dark chocolate), Moose popcorn
- Cup of clam chowder, Spicy jumbo prawns, few French fries
- E: cardio + weight
Happy Fri-yay!

Good luck with the doctor! I lived with shoulder pain for 2 years before I finally got PT and it made a huge difference. Hope you get back to pain free on both the knee and shoulder!

I'm currently dealing with my right shoulder, and I'm right handed. I'm getting it treated by acupuncturist, but it takes time to heal. Plus I got immobilizing brace at amazon and that really helps me- I wear it also to bed.

For the shoulder just got a cortisone shot and was referred to physical therapy. Was told if it doesn't work, next step is MRI and laparoscopic surgery.
