What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
I know. I really felt I accomplished something when I did not have it. My brain was trying to convince me that 1/2 danish is OK. Or that we can settle on 1/4 ... yea... Nope. I knew that if I started I would have the whole thing. Or 2 halves - one cheese and one apple. Ugh. Can you tell I'm still drooling? But I'm hungry now - its 1:30, I took extra steroids this morning and we were planning to go to lunch (business) at 1pm the latest. But Brian is still on a call, so we are waiting. I'm not even sure where were are going for lunch.

Good mornin everyone.
Not a lot planned for the day really. My mom has a doctors appointment and we might go to Sam's.
Yesterday was pretty rough but I at least passed out pretty much and slept more last night, for which I am thankful for. They are going to switch out the med in my pain pump next Wednesday. Hoping I can put last the itchiness from hell and NOT react to the new med.
I need to make chainmaille today. Other than the things mentioned I'm hoping to take it easy. I wish I didn't have to wear pants lol
QOTD: when I stand up I make all the sounds. I tend to not like being around people. I'm sure there is a lot more. I turn 42 on the 11th of this month but I feel in my 60's.
B: oatmeal and coffee with a slice of seedy toast
L: ???? Maybe a salad
D: soup
S: ????
my pics are of my pups. Skippy the chihuahua, Mona with her squeaky toy and last but not least Frankie the freaky.

I hate to be a bearer of bad news, but I did not have any opiates meds that didn't make me itch, and did not give me nausea. If the work for pain - I got the side effects. I had some that gave me a little discomfort but they were very weak, and short working. (and they had been pulled out from the market because of serious side effects with heart)
But I hope you find something that works. I do worry that after they try a few and you keep complaining - they just give up on you. Unfortunately with so many people needing help with pain, the doctors chose to be selective and just chose - stop - dealing with what to them are "difficult patients". We are not difficult - we are in pain and want compassion nd help. But reality is different.

While I'm trying to be hopeful I know that it's likely to be the same story. Pretty much guaranteed. I reacted to every single oral opioid with the itchiness. My system processes them fast as well. I'm hopeful that the itchiness will be not as bad with the new med or subside somewhat. I think I am destined to be in pain. It's pretty sobering. And scary.
my quality of life is pretty much crap. I'm hopeful we can find something that'll help with the itching at least.
thank you for the words of wisdom. It's is very much appreciated even though I wish you didn't have to go through this kind of journey too.
