What's on your Wednesday Menu?

Good morning and happy first day of February. I am so ready for spring.
QOTD- I have a few things that are really bugging me right now. I am tired of people trying to sell me their MLM crap on FB. I have been PM'd two times last week about Optiva diet plan. I have been there and done that with all prepacked chemical ****storm fake food. I'll stick to my cottage cheese and eggs.
I really enjoyed water aerobics on Monday. I am going back today. I have been making a conscious effort to move my body every day. I feel like it is really helping my mood and anxiety. I think that not drinking is helping too. I have been journaling a lot lately.
Food for today-
2 eggs and cottage cheese
Tuna with artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, green onions
Meat- I am craving a steak with blue cheese. I will probably steam some broccoli too
eggs and chomps if a snack is needed
Exercise- water aerobics and arm workout with weights
Have a great day

Oh and the guilt they try to put on you for not participating in their MLM. Seriously!

I didn't even know what Lularoe was until I saw that documentary. Very interesting.

Mornin' All!
I'm headed for the pool in a few minutes (it's only 3 degrees F out, but I'm so sick of doing youtube fitness videos I could scream!), so I'll come back and read everything when I get back.
not much going on today other than reading for class and going to class. I was originally thinking I'd attend classes for two weeks and decide which one to drop (I'm taking four. I took three last semester and it was really hard to keep up, so I have no idea how I'm going to keep up with four (unless I stop doing some of the readings, which I'd rather not have to do), but i like them all so I really don't want to drop any!). Not much coming up the next couple of days, either. Other than classes...
QOTD: this is a very recent one. One of my instructors (one of my virtual classes) gives very entertaining lectures, but he drops a lot of f-bombs (as well as other not-so-great language). Maybe I'm an old fogie, but...really? He's a young guy (maybe in his 30s?) and maybe he's trying to impress the youngsters in his class, or just trying to relate to them, but I find it very annoying. It wouldn't have bothered me that much if it happened once or twice (hey - I've been known to use them too - but not in a professional setting), but it seems really unprofessional to me. I cringe every time I hear one (OK - I admit I'm an old fogie....).
weight is down yet another 1/2 lb this morning. I was really surprised because I haven't been that compliant lately, unfortunately. I'm hoping it's just not a normal fluctuation (hard to tell when my expected 1/2 lb a week loss falls within the same range as normal day-to-day fluctuations). But anyway, I'm back to being very compliant, starting today. Enough of this goofing off...

I agree with the use of f-bombs in a professional setting. It should not be used, very unprofessional. It reminds me of when DD and I grabbed an Uber (or Lyft I can't remember) and the driver started yelling at another driver using the f-bomb. I found it very off-putting. I rarely give reviews but made sure to do so on that occasion. I am not saying I don't surse because I do but not in the professional setting.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
It is so cold here and I am not a fan of going outside. I would rather stay home and keep warm but enjoy that adventure whatever it turns out to be.
I am going to run to Aldi at lunch. My plan is to put a crockpot together to make a white chicken chili. I need cumin. Other than that, I am probably going to chill. I may due the treadmill this evening also. I need to stop being so immobile.
QOTD: Everyone complaining about going back to work in the office. I never stopped working from the office. What is the big deal. Just be glad you got a Job. Things could be way worse.

Certain jobs can be done perfectly from home, and it was proved during pandemic. The reason there is this push to get people back in is multi fold, but people who have performed perfectly from home and saved on commute are correct in resisting going back.
The companies reasons: company culture; middle management who feels useless; all those buildings sitting empty and considered a loss for the company.
Yes, everybody is grateful to have a job but also realized it can be done in a way that doesn't include a daily 2 hr commute.

my husband's office actually moved into smaller quarters, because now that the office is open again for in-person things, they made the professional staff "hybrid". They only go in 2-3 days a week...the other days they WFH. Honestly, there's hardly anything the professional staff does, other than the occasional workshop or presentation, that they really need to be in office for. It's a career development (or whatever they call it these days) office at a university. Obviously, they need people from the secretarial staff in there (I think they only have a couple of them) - as well as one or two professionals available on site while the office is open, but Greg has always reviewed students' resumes online - and as far as 1:1 meetings with students, most of them prefer to meet on Zoom! He can do all that just as easily from home. And I'm guessing it's saving some money - and freeing up space for other things on campus - now that they're in smaller quarters. I would imagine some companies can do the same now - and probably pay a lot less in rent since they don't require as much space.
