What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?

Yep, you're right. When I started in this role they asked me to upload a picture and engage more there. I declined and told them why but it's been over a year since that conversation. Technically, lacking a photo doesn't matter anymore since all my work stuff, including my photos, come up if you just Google a year later.

Yesterday I decided that if he somehow surfaces in my work inbox, that would be the police involvement line. I should probably surface with HR just for the awareness.

I have had unknown numbers from his area calling my work phone in the last two weeks that I don't pick up but didn't want to read into it since I deal with people on a national level and have a ton of unknown numbers calling that number.

Everyone here is lovely, feels like I totally trauma dumped since it's high in my mind right now. Eek.

Please do not feel bad or guilty for post this stuff. If we aren't here to listen to the bad things happening along with the good then we're not a complete support group! We are here for it! Again do not feel like you did something wrong!

Oh Marie, that stalker situation is scary. I have no advice and am no help, but you need to protect yourself and don't need to apologize for not giving out too many details of your real life.

That guy is super creepy and certainly persistent. I am sorry you have to deal with this situation.

Yep, for sure. He gets points for persistence...just not in a good way.

IMPO - you need to report that to police. Seriously. Unfortunately people like that have mental defect and they cant see what they are doing is wrong. Sometimes a slap from a law, restraining order is the only way. And if they violate it - jail time. Lately they don't treat stalking lightly. Hugs.

Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it. I was thinking today after the comments how that conversation would go and running through what information I have to share. Turns out when you don't talk to someone for such a long time and they don't own anything, they can be hard to dig up online, too. Glad that people's incidents are taken more seriously. I do watch a lot of crime shows where that hadn't been the case. I also shared some screen shots with friends and family yesterday, just in case.

You are right though, none of this is wrong in his mind, and there have been no consequences. After the 1,000 phone calls (approximately), when I picked up the single time to confront him, and the last time I ever spoke to him, he told me it was a butt dial. So, no problem just lying and probably believing himself.

Yikes. That is not fare. I hope somehow it is resolved. So sorry.
