They only had the chocolate when I was there someone took all the salted caramel. I'll keep looking but they had the peppermint on clearance. I am not a fan of mint unless it is the 1st Saturday in May, and it is in a Mint Julip.

I struggled with accounting when I was in college. I thought I wanted to be a business major, started taking classes but none of the information was processed correctly by my brain. I did take accounting in high school and did alright though, maybe because it was pretty entry level. I ended changing to nursing where I did great in school since it made sense to the old brain.

DD and I had a great trip to Denver. The concert was great. DD really enjoyed it. My only complaint is all the cowboy hats block the view of the stage for a shorty (5'4") like me when it is a standing only concert venue! We watched 3 different events at the Western Stock Show--rodeo, Evening with Dancing Horses (think dressage, Mexican and Spanish dances, etc), and draft horse pulling. All were interesting and different from the other event. I had never heard of the National Western Stock Show, but it has been around for 117 years and is growing. I would love to go again next year with DD. My eating was not so good, but I am back on track as of yesterday. It feels good to be eating right again! I am joining another 30-day challenge at the yoga studio. It is another 30 workouts in 30 days to earn a 1-month free yoga plus 2 weeks free to give to another person. It is a pretty good deal, and it keeps me focused on getting to the workouts. I just need to find someone who wants to try hot yoga. DD says she likes yoga but not the heat.

Today's agenda is wrapping up the paperwork for the month, preparing for a meeting this week, and a hair color and cut. Ending with an Inferno Pilates session. I will need to leave work early to make the hair appt so I did come in extra early.

QOTD: I am watching the last season of the Walking Dead, started the Last of Us (really good), Ghosts, The Good Fight (final season), The Mindy Project to name a few. It all depends on my mood. Reading: Just Like the Other Girls is my current book, with Stephne Kings The Stand on audible.

Glad your trip went well! Love your ability to get right back on plan with your menu and exercise, too. It's amazing how much better you can feel when you're on plan!

Good morning!

I had a successful yesterday, yummy on point dinner and I slept almost the whole night. Today looks fabulous after 8 + hours of real sleep.

Today is a walk, I want to work more on my rock project, painters are coming for touch up and we have a lunch date at 1 with friends. Our calendar is so full. Friends keep calling and texting asking for dates before we hit the road next month. Not sure if they think we might never come home or that Rog or I might murder the other after being in close quarters for months. But it's great seeing everyone.

QoTD: Nothing fabulous so I wrote down all your ideas so I can have some options. I hate when I sit in front of the tv with a bazillion channels and can't find anything to watch.

I got great groceries yesterday, so today is full of promise in the eats department.

B: last of my chili, a little sharp cheddar and probably a fried egg on top

L: eating at one of my faves. I will have a few fresh chicharrons and a quesobirria street taco

D: stuffed flank steak, corn on the cob and a baby potato

Peace Everybody!

The latter has been my concern once DH and I start the RV life (his dream, not mine, for retirement).

G'morning all!

Ugh, those eggs. In talking with friends I realized this shortage and the high prices are not everywhere. I stopped at TJ yesterday and NO EGGS were to be found. The cheapest price was $4.99 for a dozen, but even at that price the shelves were empty.

Yesterday I decided to venture out into the woodsy area of the neighborhood for my cardio day. I figured it must be dry by now. Big mistake, in certain places the mud was just impassible. And nothing worse than feeling the wetness through your shoes. Yuck! My usual trail in the forest is still closed from the storms so I'm stuck doing the neighborhood routes.

QOTD: Watching: the last of us (very scary and disturbing, but good); has anybody watched Ginny & Georgia on Netflix? Great show, season 2 just came out. Reading: The red rising series (on book 3), waiting for I'm glad my mom died to become available. Got a new rec recently for Tomorrow, tomorrow and tomorrow, added that to my to read list. 2 other books that are in my queue are: The marriage proposal (about duchess Lucrezia de Medici) and The Spare (prince Harry). I have these two last books, just gotta finish red rising to start on these.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Epic chicken, protein puff
  • Hot cocoa, iced coffee w/PP, Gouda cheese
  • Hb eggs + tuna
  • E: 5 miles neighborhood uphill wog

Happy taco Tue!
