What's on your Monday Menu?
Mornin' All!
at one time when I was around 18-ish I kicked around the idea of becoming an accountant, because, I thought, it would be a decent career (lots of jobs and decent pay to boot), and I was a math whiz. It took one class to convince me it was NOT for me - and it is definitely NOT math! When I got my library degree, I felt the same way about cataloging. People seem to either love or hate it. I hated it. Probably for the same reason I didn't like accounting - it's very tedious, detail-y stuff. My brain just doesn't work that way. I'm more of an abstract thinker. I think my husband probably would have liked accounting because he's one of these very organized, detail-y people. Working with that kind of stuff just ends up stressing me out. No thanks. I'm glad there are people that like that kind of thing, though, since we need them!
I have my book group later this morning and a virtual committee meeting this afternoon. I'll get some exercise in sometime, too - but probably something on youtube since there isn't much at the gym today during the times that work for me - and it's too cold to do anything outside.
QOTD: probably quality time or gifts (and that usually means food gifts. If I make food for you, then that usually means I really like you!). I'm not very physical.
B: plain skyr with fruit compote, coffee with half & half
MS: I'll take a protein shake to the book group
L: salad with chicken strips and light dressing
AS: the last (of this batch) protein muffin
D: not sure yet. Maybe 1/2 a veggie burger and some vegetables
have a great day, everyone!
I am more of a big picture analyst type (to the extent that I am not just a sales person at this point) than say Kelly would be. Not sure you would want me figuring out the details of anyone's bookkeeping.

yea I have a friend who's a budget analyst. Most of the other people in her unit are accountants. She's told me that it's a whole different ball game. She works with projections - the future. They track and keep detailed records of income, expenses, depreciation, etc - so past and present. They really inhabit different worlds and don't always understand what the other side does.
Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
Wow the Meme cannot be more real. I did hear the egg prices should be falling soon so we shall wait. I am with you on the accounting. I still don't know why I was only given 10 fingers and need way more to do the type of math I am good at.
Weekend went well except for eating. I kinda knew it would go awry when I had nothing really going on. So much so I watched 3 movies on Saturday and that never happens. I did do the Hitt class on Saturday so there was some movement, it was followed by pain in my shoulders. I going to call the chiropractor to take a look.
QOTD: I never officially did it but if I had to guess I would say #2. As a matter of fact, Ron has taken on a project of changing the tile backsplash in my kitchen. I am over the moon excited I have wanted it done since we moved in 12 years ago. I cannot wait till it is finished. He'll be on my good side for a while.

Good Morning and Happy Monday everyone. Last Tuesday was my first day back to work since my surgery on December 7th. I have to say ladies having a hysterectomy was the best thing in the world that I could have done. I've had 3 iron infusions right afterwards as that was scheduled by my hemo doctor and my ferritin has gone from 6 to 110. I have so much energy it is crazy. Now hopefully I will be able to keep it up there. I'm still taking daily supplements as recommended.
We tried rabbit while I was out and it was OK tastes like chicken, but to raise them really isn't worth it. It took longer to process the rabbit than it did a 300lb pig. The fur is a pain in the butt when skinning them. We also attended a honeybee class this past Saturday and even though we had them years ago both my husband and I learned some stuff that we didn't know and we will be taking the next class on bee pests in a few weeks. Hubby already said he wants bees again.
I have also come to realize that my job was making me gain weight because I have gone from 234 to 213 in the 6 weeks I was recovering. So I had to develop a plan to NOT EAT the crap that is brought in. Such a struggle, but darn it I will stay strong. It amazes me how quickly clothes that didn't fit now do.
Got a heavy punching bag and a double end bag to work on some cardio also.
QOTD: Not really sure on that one.
5am coffee with raw milk
B: hardboiled egg with mustard
L: ham and cheese wrapped around pickles
D: bok choy soup with a salad
E: treadmill 30 mins
Have a wonderful day!!

It's good to hear that the surgery has meant such an improvement for you! It's scary sometimes the torture our bodies will put us through. Glad it sounds like you're healing well, and that your iron numbers are up!
