Happy Hump Day, Gang! Oof math was just as challenging as I expected it but I managed through the first two chapter's quizzes with a 98% and a 100% and I was proud that I was able to problem solve. One of the questions took me a freaking hour to understand! At least I slept again last night so hopefully I won't feel as cross-eyed today.

QOTD: Speaking of Richard Scary's world... do you feel like you are a part of your community where you live? I grew up in a small town where everyone knew everyone. There was no chance of going to the post office or store without knowing everyone. Then when I bought my condo I was on the board and did a lot of community volunteering, so I knew people there, too. But since moving in with Grim, I really don't have any connections to this city. Grim has about 1000000 first cousins in the area so he is always running into people who know him, but I am completely anonymous!

B: chicken sausage

S: almonds and babybel

L: Fage greek yogurt 2% cherry

D: coconut chicken

Good morning QJB and menuers,

You made it through math! Sounds like you may have a time sink on your hands. But, progress!

Made it through yesterday. I do have a hard time unplugging from work when there are always unfinished things to do. Yesterday, after a two hour project readout I worked through, my afternoon plans were to review a proposal and give feedback, and update one of our PowerPoint presentations, which are priorities. Then got pulled into an impromptu budget meeting with my boss for two hours instead. I could have spent the evening continuing to work because those items are still priorities...but that could also be every day. On to Wednesday and what I can fit in!

QOTD- Sure. I know my closest two neighbors by name and have their numbers. They're it within 3/4 of a mile. The nearest town with a Dollar General is a 30 minute drive (that seems to be the first chain store established in a town for some reason). I contribute in my own simple ways but don't have the social bandwidth to maintain more than I do for my personal life and work, so I count it good.

Today will be dashing between my PCP appointment, the office and meetings, and the orthodontist for my scan. Full day!

Accountability- Good! I ate salmon instead of more yogurt.

Exercise- Recumbent bike. I need to find more hours in the day for resistance and pilates.

Menu

Protein oatmeal x2, yogurt, 1/2 bag of the good bean spicy black soy bean chili, tuna cake, yogurt, maybe chicken soup. Trying to start working in some carbs as directed.

Onward with the day! Cheers!

We have a lot of rural areas around here. Lots of farms and gas wells so pretty densely populated. But as your driving you always run into a Dollar General. I think that is their niche. I am sure that those communities appreciate them because there is nothing else for miles. I guess it is a good business concept. I am happy to see them sometimes to use the restroom.

yes - Dollar Generals usually spring up in rural areas - or very small towns.

They do seem to be popular out in the country! And that chain definitely comes to mind to mark the size of a "town". My town has no Dollar General. :)

YouTube has some good HIIT workouts with band and/or weights that are a mere 30 minutes in length.

7 minutes. As many burpees as possible. You won't feel shortchanged.

That is an understatement, lol. My partner is always telling my preteens and young adults that if they do X behavior, they will be rewarded with X number of burpees, (it is a running joke. I honestly am not even sure if ANY of them, my partner included, can actually do a proper burpee).

that's actually not a bad thing. A friend of mine who has a PhD in exercise physiology is really against burpees. She thinks there's too much risk of back injury with those. I was glad to hear her say that since I hate the things!
