Mornin' All!

I have to call the senior center in my mom's community (she lives in the 'burbs) as soon as they open at 8:00 to make an appt for her and me to meet with an AARP tax volunteer sometime this season. I used to do her taxes until her financial guy started investing some of her money in instruments that are complicated to report on income tax forms (or rather, their profits are complicated to report - I was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out a few years ago when it dawned on me that there are accountants you can pay to do this - ta da! And luckily, I discovered AARP offered this service to seniors - and some of the volunteers are retired accountants! (and others that, although not retired accountants, go through training - and there's always someone there - often a retired accountant - who double check the volunteer's work). Anyway, the slots fill up fast, so I'm going to call as soon as the center opens...

otherwise, I have Mah Jongg at 9:00 am (we switched to Tuesday mornings instead of afternoons), a Webinar from 10-12, and then I have to pick something up from a friend around 1:00. Otherwise...??? I'll exercise today as well. I'm really ready for classes to start next week so I'm busy all the time. Haven't heard yea or nay for auditing a course at the Madison campus yet (although I got two "yeas" from the Milwaukee campus a week or two ago, both online, of course), but at this point I'm almost wishing for an in person one to get me out of the house a couple of afternoons a week. My eating has generally been really good lately - but I blew it yesterday afternoon. Being out of the house helps immensely - although maybe just being super busy will help as well. Boredom is really dangerous.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

Glad your semester is off to a good start. Good luck on the math today.

Yesterday was a better day nothing too crazy come along. However, I did go out looking for those mini meatballs I like for my wedding soup and to my surprise on the cooler door was an explanation. I guess I am not the only one looking. There was a fire at the plant, and they do not expect them to be in stoc****il the end of spring. Hey at least I know why I couldn't find them. If nothing comes up for the weekend, I guess I will make my own and get them in the freezer. I'll make Ron roll tiny little meatballs with me. That will be better than going to the casino and losing money.

QOTD: I have no clue and I do not get the breakfast reference.

Accountability: To many snacks and no exercise. It was dark when I got home.

Italian wedding soup meatballs are just the best...and it's for a good cause. Kudos to conscripted kitchen help.

The one thing I don't do is drink fluids after I go to bed. My kids keep a glass of water at the bedside and drink during the night. I was also never a middle of the night snacker.

QJB-Wow! I am impressed that you could read that many pages of a textbook in one day. My eyes would have crossed, mind would have wandered, and would have found an easier solution, than reading, to getting the information I needed for the class. Good job and great start to the semester.

At work today in the office. I have a couple of meetings plus I need to get in a lifting workout before my yoga class today. Yesterday, I just couldn't make myself do a full hour on the treadmill (or other aerobic machines). I did get in 30 minutes and my lifting. No sweating done to mess up the chemical peel! I am just trying to get a bunch of tasks done so I can go on my trip Thursday. I have been notified by the airline that there is a winter weather watch happening in Denver today through Wednesday, which could cause flight delays. We are scheduled to leave Thursday at 0545, which is the first flight out in the morning, so I am hoping that we are not delayed. We also have tickets to the rodeo that afternoon.

QOTD: I also didn't get the question, but now do after reading responses. Where the Crawdad Sing.

L: Asian chicken salad with light sesame ginger dressing

D: Summer berries salad with chicken light poppy seed dressing

S: protein frosty, 5 squares sf chocolate

Have a terrific taco Tuesday.

Wait, what are my options other than actually do the reading? Are there shortcuts I don't know about!?

LOL. I admit that I am not very good about reading class material since I can't really concentrate on the boring stuff. I find my mind wandering while my eyes scan the material. I usually learn the material through lecture, completing the assignments (targeted reading of the material to complete the assignments), and the online discussions. I am sure you would have a much more in-depth understanding of the material by reading it.
