Oh, no, I would probably cry of that happened, especially this early! Would be in the disappointment boat with you.
Poor choice of words on my part. Let me try again. They said that, to estimate, expect that however much you lost in the first six months after surgery, take half that amount and it's what you can expect to lose in the back half of your first year. So in their minds, I've lost 80 pounds since surgery (not fully accurate since their weight on file is from four days before and not the day of), so I could expect to lose another 40 by the end of my first year.
Since their messaging has been a bit...obtuse at times, I'm taking it all with a grain of salt. :) will lose what I lose when I lose it, and I'm a lot less worried about their schedules, which I see as good.
And thanks! I'm looking forward to some whole grains, beans, and fruit! The hard part is how that's supposed to fit. Even 15g of carbs per meal is a lot when I still can't eat a normal portion at once!
Fingers crossed on all things medical the next few weeks!

Many of us have lost above and beyond their expectations so do not leave that tidbit hanging out too long. Just get off the most weight you can while your tool is working at maximum capacity. I wish my tool would do all that again. You're doing great. We are all very proud of you.

Aww, thank you! I stand by the fact that the forum crew here is amazing.
That's the plan - lose what I can in the healthy range! We'll see how this reintroduction of carbs goes. Tomorrow I get protein oatmeal!

Thanks! I'll know more soonish.
I think a bunch of us do, and you have so much to deal with for you and DH both. It will be no small feat working back to your normal, for both of you!
Cheers!

Yep, I had the same issue with my gallbladder. Just wish they would take them out at the initial surgery since so many people end up with issues. I am hoping that takes care of your pain. Congratulations on the weight loss kudos and braces.

Ah, follow up surgery...I'm sorry it happened for you. You'd think removal would become standard practice but I guess not quite yet. I've been Googling it and am hoping it's simpler than it seems to remove. Looks like another 5 cuts, so good times!
And thanks. I get to be over 40 with braces, but hopefully that means that in 2 years, I'll be over 40 with straight teeth! Woo!
