Good Morning! Happy Fri-yay! JB, I hope you have a better day and great weekend ahead. Well it seems that John's surgery will be the 25th. Hospitals are so full that even though his injury is bad and needs quick intervention it is not an emergency. They are worried about his quad because it's a clean split I guess the one piece of the patella and quad will start shifting up since there's nothing pulling it down. He'll be non weight bearing for at least 6 weeks after surgery so at least we have somewhat of a timeline now. Tomorrow Em and I are still going to try and make the Dear Evan Hansen show and then it'll be just prep for the new week. Oh I did my PT set for Wednesday too.

QOTD: Our main bathroom, we only have a bathtub and would like to put in an enclosed shower.

Menu

TSS: 8 years 4 months

B: SF latte, Fiber/protein oatmeal, turkey sausage, and an orange

L: Turkey and cheese sticks, carrots, light and fit yogurt and some fruit

S: P3 pack, a piece of fruit and yogurt

D: TBD

ES: Greek yogurt and toast with carbmaster bread

E: rest day

V/W: On track

Have a great one!

Wow surprised they put it off so far out. Any chance he can get in earlier with cancelations.? Hope it all works out quickly.

Yeah, he's "urgent" not "emergency" and the hospital the dr prefers is totally booked but they will call if there are any cancellations and if they have CT scan done and all the pre op stuff ready.

I have heard from several people in different parts of the country how full the hospitals are. When my bestie went into the hospital the first time last month she said she was on a bed in the hall for 12 plus hours waiting for a room. It?s scary and so invisible unless you are there. I hope they keep John comfortable until then and I hope they work him in sooner!

That's a long time to have to wait! Everything seems to be super booked out these days, wow. Maybe they can move him up. Glad he's on the schedule, though!

Good morning ~ The drama at work is over now and today should be fine. Good news - I figured how to pop my hip back in so I don't have to walk funny and in pain! My chiro is happy that I'm working on only wearing good shoes, but again brought up sitting too much - getting up and moving at work - I'm really bad at that. I get so focused it's hard to stop and take a break. I have an adjustable desk, so why I don't use it to stand is beyond me. I will give it a whirl today. Otherwise, meeting the kiddo for lunch and looking forward to the 3 day weekend!

QOTD - Bathroom! I would love a huge serene spa bathroom with all the bells and whistles - fancy tub, bidet - the works.

Accountability - I had to stop by my ortho office to order a new retainer yesterday. They used to have an ice cream freezer full of treats for patients that I used to occasionally indulge, but I was not worried about it yesterday whatsoever. The ice cream freezer is gone! Instead, they had fresh cookies baking and warm chocolate chip cookies in a warming bin - have you ever heard of such a thing?? A cookie warming bin? I ate that warm cookie without thinking until it was too late! Otherwise - I was a saint!

B- coffee x 2, leftover TJ's dill pickle salad kit w/chicken - yum

L - Greek bowl at Mike the Greek

d- Breakfast for diner - egg, bacon, avocado

s- navel orange

Have a great day!

Warm cookies are hard to resist! Doubletree hotels used to give you a cookie when you checked in and the kept them in a warming drawer. Yum

I remember being in awe of warmed cookies at the reception desk. Standout.

There was a furniture store that had a warmer with Otis *****meyer cookies in it. DH would wipe it out completely as I did the paperwork.
