^^This feels like a good 2023 goal!^^ Happy Friday, my friends. I had rough day yesterday. Not worth going into the details, but it can be well summed up with a big UGH. I hope today and the rest of the weekend can be very low key and chill.

Thanks for the kitty advice...I think it might be time for a vet visit soon. We mentioned the fighting last time we were there, but it wasn't as bad/urgent as it has become in the last 2 months. Here is a funny pic I nabbed this week of Fezzie after Grim forgot to put the cover on the automatic feeder. He was a happy happy boi.

My other pic is of one of my Valentine's Day options I will be selling this year.

QOTD: What's the first room you would completely redo in your house if you had the time and money to do it right away? Grim made some absolutely stunning built-ins in our living room a few years ago and I love it, but we really need to change up the furniture arrangement in the room because what we have doesn't work any more. I feel like as long as there is a place to comfortably put our butts, that's good enough for now while I am not making any money... but it's definitely the first room I'd redo!

B: egg bites

L: Italian wedding soup

S: almonds and babybel

D: turkey meatballs

Happy Fri-yay! QJB, hope your day and weekend are better than yesterday!

Busy day today and my rescheduled personal trainer session after work; I am hoping the issue that caused my Wednesday to be a day is put to bed today; I was expecting it to be done yesterday so I'm a little annoyed that it's not done.

Weekend plans are a nice mix of activities and not activities; tomorrow I'm staying home and reading; Sunday I get a new tattoo, monday I'm meeting a friend to see the movie Woman Talking which looks good but grim, I read the book a few years ago and it was good but grim. Work travel for the year starts up next week too so I have a few things to do to get ready. I scheduled my equipment workouts for the month so I can get my challenges that I want to complete done, so I have a few of those over the weekend too -- I think today is a walk on the elliptical up a mountain in Glacier National Park (the elliptical series is 12 walks in Glacier and Yellowstone) and the rowing sessions are the second series in rowing HIIT and core. My obliques are still feeling yesterdays session.

QOTD - I would love to have my basement finished but I have so many ideas for it I can't settle on one. I very much enjoy having my workout room down there though so it would definitely have a real workout room.

Yesterday I was hungry and I ate all my meals by noon and then instead of just having dinner at dinner time, I was still hungry so I ate all the things, including ruffles before bed. Then I woke up with RH so argh, very much argh to myself. I know better. I am rarely actually hungry so I was way too indulgent yesterday.

menu today is

coffee plus half and half times 3 (If I am out of bed before 3, I get an extra cup of coffee, I have decided)

chicken green Chile

yogurt

barebells bar

some type of burger option

Have a fantastic friday.

Pix from running errands on Saturday. I do live in a beautiful place.

Tattoo? What are you getting? Slightly envious of your Glacier and Yellowstone series. Those are beautiful parks! Hope your issue is resolved today.

It's a custom posey design with thistle, lavender and eucalyptus, in black line only. I'm very excited. Around here at least good artists have a LONG waiting list, I booked this back in October....and that's not even the longest I've heard.

Yes, they are -- Glacier is one of the most beautiful places on the planet; and Yellowstone is dramatic. I always tell people how incredibly fortunate we are here in the US -- if you don't want to travel internationally (I know there are people that don't) at least travel US because you can see some aspect of everything here....and then when people say "but there's no history here", I direct them toward Mesa Verde and Chaco Canyon. It's not the same timescale exactly, it's no Skara Brae, but still amazing. And this is how I managed to visit all 50 states, lol.

That sounds beautiful! Hope you can share after it's done.

The first time I went to Glacier, Going to the Sun road was still closed in the summertime. My solution was to take a helicopter flight (my first) so I could see everything. Since I was already in thr habit of wandering off alone, I got to sit up front with the pilot. The view was much better since you could see through the floor. He did tell me not to touch anything. Since I've always had issues with heights, was happy to comply with that!

And you're right. There's so much to see in the US! I do remember very washboardy roads on the way to Chaco a few years back. My fault for taking the Prius out into the country. Worth the drive.

My boss is an ex-navy helo pilot and he says to never go on a helicopter unless you can read the maintenance records. Since I had never been in a helicopter before that, I guess now I never will.

I bet that was an amazing flight though!!
