His ghostwriter is really good; he used to be a reporter here at the Rocky Mountain News when it still existed. I think he won a pulitzer back then.

Good morning, everybody!

Sunday was a big day for the owls. I heard them hooting away and went outside to check them out. Then I realized it was winter, so I got my coat on, grabbed my keys and closed the door. Then I went out in earnest.

Several people were out looking for the owls and I talked to a number of dog walkers, joggers, etc. It seems that there are two owls. Both of them like pine trees and they hoot at each other from across the way. Some people have seen them.

The near owls are across the street and one block. The homeowners have four pine trees in their yard. I could hear, but not see the owl in that tree. Part of the problem was that I didn't want the homeowner to think that I was trying to look into her house. Marilyn knows her and is going to Facebook message her about the owl.

The far owls are on the other side of our house, but I am less sure about which yard.

I am sore from 120 wall ball shots last night. I will have to spend some extra time rolling out this morning. Today is happy hour. I'm not feeling it but will participate.

QOTD: No. I can't say that stories about famously see through dresses won't get a click every now and then, but that is as close as I get.

Breakfast: Egg Sandwich

Lunch: Turkey

Dinner: Happy Hour

Have a great day, all!

I'm sure eventually you'll spot one of the owls! A few years ago John found a baby owl by a tree in a shopping center parking lot. Luckily, he had towels in his car and was able to contact some sort of wildlife rescue and took it there.

When I was a young kid I did all sorts of stupid crap. Including getting really close to a dazed barn owl in our neighborhood. Yes it went after me and yes I deserved it. I love owls though. I have more respect now LOL

Woo, neighborhood owl hunt! I was on the phone with a friend of mine in Arizona when she threw her trash out...and it landed on this very offended guy. They're out there!
