Good luck! I actually want to be on a jury but I don't want it to be anything upsetting or emotional or that takes too long. Essentially I want someone to fight a traffic ticket and ask for a jury to hear it and to be on that jury.

That was the exact jury I was on. The guy was on medication, had drunk and got into an accident. He was claiming that because he had taken medication shouldn't be responsible for the accident. So my question was: isn't it common sense, or don't all the medications come with warning that you should not drink when you take them? Automatic rejection.

the only one I actually served on (despite being called three or four times) was a DUI/OWI case. I've heard a majority of them are. I was actually hoping for some big complex murder case, but then that could have meant a couple of weeks plus possible sequester. SO...maybe not. Would have been way more interesting, though...

Oh I wish. Have been called for jury duty twice. Once in Georgia that meant driving into Atlanta and a ton of questions. Once since I bought my place in the country and learned that jury duty here is a four month long term. I was called three times last year but never had to serve. Listening to the defense attorney, so glad that was the case. I'm all for doing my part but some of the cases that make it to trial are just...why?

My mom's been picked a few times. One was for a child sex crime that ended with a life sentence. Hope you got dismissed quickly!

Good morning ~ I hope Grim feels better and that you stay negative! Man is it POURING right now. The roads will be flooded on my commute this whole week probably - not fun. Yesterday was love-lee! Relaxing and productive. Cleaned the house, finished my book, shopped, made pot roast, laundry, cleaned and organized the garage, prepped and packed all the things, yoga and percussion session and relaxed plenty. Great day. Today is nose to the grindstone, actually this whole week, hell this whole month. This afternoon, I have a gastro consult for my next colonoscopy. I'm almost done with the head to toe medical once over - a few more appointments, then I'm done for a LONG time and hopefully left with no medical excuses or exceptions but to do the f*** work, Amy.
QOTD - Not really - I mean the nice ones yes, but on an island w/the scary ones? Nope.
Accountability:1 really good cranberry oatmeal cookie, 2 glasses of wine, dinner was pot roast instead of chicken and dumplings
