Mornin' All!

lazy day here today, but I think I'll get out and do SOMETHING because they're calling for snow this weekend. Maybe lunch or coffee out with DH, since he's off today. I also want to shorten my list of potential courses for next semester. I'm resigned to the fact I may have to take an in person one if I want one that I'll find interesting. The online options (at least at the Madison campus) just aren't doing it for me. Maybe an art history class. A big one so I won't be missed if I skip class due to weather or a meeting (I do have occasional meetings at the times they all meet - but that'll only mean missing it about three times during the semester - so not very often). Those kinds of classes don't really build on each other as the semester progresses, either, like some in other subject areas do - so missing an occasional class shouldn't put me too far behind.

QOTD: not really. I'm a great one for giving other people nicknames, but I don't really have any - well, unless you count Trish, which is a nickname for Patricia. I went by Tricia as a kid, but in high school so many people shortened it to "Trish" that I got tired of correcting them and just started going by that instead. I've grown to like it.

B: yogurt with fruit compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: if I'm here, a chickpea/miso sandwich

AS: protein muffin

D: I'm thinking half an Impossible burger and some salad

have a great day, everyone!

Good morning. Adorable cookies!

Painters are here. It was so much work cleaning out the closet and bathroom of the guest room. I did not know I owned so much crap! And yet, almost all of it needs to be loaded back in. Because it's suitcases and gift wrap those jackets we only need twice a decade. I am almost to embarrassed to say this, but for someone who thinks they keep a really clean house, and who works at it everyday, good Lord there was a lot of hidden dog hair and dust behind and under things. We cleaned like crazy, scrubbed every surface and when it's all done and put together in a few weeks time, it's going to be awesome. I ran up and down those stairs about 30 times yesterday and I'm already at 10 trips this morning. I managed to make it out between rainstorms yesterday for a 30 minute walk, but it was too wet to try the stairs. I should head there this morning while Roger takes the girls for donuts.

Today is exercise, hanging out with the girls, finishing the animated movie Pinocchio with them (the animation in this thing is amazing), actually making the soup I meant to make yesterday and then spending the evening putting things back in the closet upstairs so we can sleep on our bed. And doing laundry. All the upstairs curtains got washed yesterday and today is all the bedding. Exciting day.

My "real" adds for yesterday were 2 Dove squares, 1/2 oz beef jerky and carrots. No wine!

QoTD: Several. My best girlfriend and her husband call me Pizza. My best guy friends call me Yap and Pan Pan. And my all time favorite is MP, what the girls call me.

Food plan today is:

B: Egg bite and carrots

L: orange/avo/pistachio/red onion salad and 1-2 oz pork shoulder leftovers (SO GOOD!!!)

D: white bean and chicken soup with a small spinach salad. Or I might get lazy and just stir spinach into the soup. I got an amazing loaf of onion bread from TJ's for Roger to sweeten the deal as he is not a big soup eater. But tonight he has soup or cooks his own dinner!

Pictures are of the "fort" the grands slept in last night, and the rainbow after the worst of the day yesterday:

Peace everybody. Have a great weekend!

I watched Pinocchio after my surgery while on meds. You're right the animation was amazing.

Oh no, poor Grim. I hope he feels better quickly and recovers without any issues. Let's hope he keeps the germs to himself! I chuckled at the meme. Too funny. Also, your cookies are so cute!

I am working from home today. Will also do a few errands as I have a couple of returns that need to go to the post office and a package out to a friend. I am sending him my barely used CPAP (that I no longer need!) since his has been recalled and he is stalling on getting a replacement. Mostly out of stubbornness and not wanting to go to the doctor to get an order for a replacement. Yesterday I was feeling fatigued, so I only did my weightlifting workout and skipped yoga. I was thinking I may be slightly dehydrated from the sweating at yoga. Today, I may go to a local gym to get my leg lifting workout in before yoga. Probably Planet Fitness since I think they only charge $5 for a drop-in workout (however, if I plan on going more often, I should join for the monthly fee of $10). I will see.

Weekend plans: Sunday I have signed up DH, DD, and I do a 2-hour sculpture class. You get 3# of clay to sculpt your favorite dog. Should be fun. I will get my yoga workout in the evening. Saturday, not much planned except 90 minutes of hot yoga. I may do a Costco run today also for a few items.

QOTD: Growing up my father would combine my first and middle name (Lanarie). Otherwise, no nicknames.

Accountability: Excellent

Same ole yummy meals today

E: lifting, 60 min hot yoga

Have a fantastic Friday!!

Ah ha, I have a barely used CPAP as well! Have been wondering what to do with it since I was cleared to discontinue usage. Such a great feeling, isn't it?

I belonged to PF up until Covid. Ours was always very clean and had awesome showers. If we didn't have power or water, it was great to be able to run and get ready for work. It is well worth it. I always got the black card for message and tanning and you can bring guest.

Good morning QJB and menuers,

Yay for Friday! Been an early and busy day. One more long meeting before I can head home. The hospital did call to schedule an ultrasound for me on Friday the thirteenth to check my abdomen, so have that to look forward to before my six month follow up the next Monday.

JB - hopefully Grim is able to shake covid quickly. Never fun. Suggestions...winter yard work, painting, knitting/crocheting and mailing your creations to people randomly (oddly specific, no?). Hope you don't catch anything!

QOTD- Marie is my middle name, so that counts. I get called a lot of things. :) My sister couldn't say "baby" when I was little, so I also ended up "Beeb" for years as a kid. Glad that one died off.

Accountability- Not bad. Made crock pot meatballs yesterday though and then forgot them. Boo. Well...forgot the entire lunch bag. And my badge that gets me into the office. It's been that kind of Friday and I'm currently sporting the badge of shame.

Exercise- Would like to do an easy pilates routine after cardio tonight, if dogs allow.

Menu - two over easy eggs and a piece of sausage, burger patty with toppings, fairlife protein shake, protein bar.

Picture is of my pantry after assembly and prior to leveling all the things. I have two more shelves coming and can't wait for my kitchen to feel organized. Happy Friday, everyone!
