What's on your Thursday Menu?

Good morning and happy Little Friday! Gad to hear that everyone seems to be on the mend in all good ways :)
I am still very much enjoying my time off. I tackled more big projects, tackled some little projects, finished my book, watched some bad tv, and ran some errands. The only negative is that without any structure, I am having a really hard time staying on track with food or exercise. Yesterday I fully admit to diving head first into a box of cheez-its and getting about 2000 steps. Ugh. I know I need to pull myself together but I'm admittedly lacking motivation to do better.
QOTD: What is a pet peeve you have about other drivers? Whyyyy are so many people afraid to take a right turn? It drives me crazy how slowly and cautiously some people act then they turn onto a street sometimes. I burn with unnecessary rage when people go less than 1 MPH for no reason. Grim has taught me to be a honker (like a good Masshole) so that's where I focus my honking rage these days.

Good morning QJB and menuers!
Your time off sounds pretty productive, Cheez Its notwithstanding.
Office day today so I'm trying to get motivated. Lunch with a colleague today who warned me he's bringing his with him because of a healthy new year. I normally bring mine, so that just makes my life easier! It's a day of meetings that kick off shortly after I get in. Woo.
My friend got her ticket, so our trip feels real now and I get to look forward to some time in Cajun country. This will be my first trip to New Orleans where I can participate in activities that are not purely free, and I'm looking forward to it!
QOTD- People who cruise in the left lane at slower speeds. If I pass you on the right...you're doing it wrong. Will admit to being that right turn person when I have things in my car I'm trying not to sling around like cakes, plants, or groceries that can slide or roll. Or when I'm driving home dogs who are immediately post neuter and full of stitches.
Accountability- No Cheez Its here but I would totally do the same.
Menu
Still having the weird vertical stomach pain, so heavy yogurt day. Two good yogurt, oikos pro yogurt, chicken soup, protein bar, seaweed.
Have an excellent day, everyone!

DH also has the pet peeve of slow drivers in the left lane.
Regarding your weird vertical stomach pain. Where exactly is the pain on your abdomen (right, left side, upper, lower, mid)? When does the discomfort occur (with food, movement, etc)? What does it feel like (dull, pulling, sharp, etc)? Any other details?

It's almost center line several inches above my belly button but below my ribcage. The area i can feel is a few inches long, vertically. I can feel it dully just in general, like right now. If I lunge or bend and my...loose skin and pieces move, it can feel like a sharper pain. If I push on that area I do feel a bit of dull pain. It feels more surface level (in the area with remaining fat) versus inside my abdominal cavity, if that makes sense. It started about a week ago and has come and gone a little bit. Slightly more constant right now. My six month follow up is the 16th, so something I was going to bring up then as well.
I'm a bit worried with the nosebleeds recently and the increase in bruising again that it could be something internal related to...who knows? Also trying not to read into it, though. :)

Regarding the nose bleeds are you sure it isn't due to dryness? Maybe some Vaseline up the nares at night. I am hoping tha the discomfort is nothing to be concerned about. I was concerned about an internal hernia. I had a sliding internal hernia that would fold then release but the pain was quite intense when it did happen. However, I think I had it for a while because I would notice a weird pulling pinching sensation for several months before it started to hold and cause real discomfort.

Hi! It could be, but I'm used to the cracked sinuses from the dryness. This was...more. and took longer to clot. But also worth a try. :)
Folding, sliding hernia sounds concerning! And painful. And also like you toughed it out for a while. Phew.
I do feel this when sitting and moving and there is discomfort. Even though they're probably sick of hearing from me, I went ahead and called my clinic about it. Surprisingly, they called back and want to schedule an ultrasound at the same hospital where I had surgery. So apparently it's at least worth checking out. The feeling is always there, though low-level...will be good to have them image it, I guess. It's been almost a week.
It's ten days until my six month appointment but thought maybe it shouldn't wait since it's out of the ordinary. Hopefully nothing?
Assuming you had to have surgery for yours?

QOTD. Those making a right turn in front of you at the last minute and then drives at one mile a minute. After you slam on your brakes to avoid a rear end, you look in the mirror and there is nobody behind you for at least half a mile. .?!
Nothing big going on today. Work, then workout. Food a bit up in the air. Although I am making good food choices I am not eating enough protein. I used to love meat but not so much now. I like yogurt and cottage cheese so eat more of that. And protein shakes, getting burnt out but if I don't drink them I don't get enough protein. I could eat more fish, but since I always liked it fried, I don't have any quick recipes that don't have a million ingredients.
Menu. Don't have one. But something like this, protein shake, apple, yogurt, protein shake, maybe left over stuffed shells for dinner. It's not that high in protein, but since I made it from scratch it's heavy on the cheeses. Some Turkey rollups with pickles for another snack. I am not a planner but my food does follow a formula.
Have a great day everyone!

I don't eat fish but I wonder if some of the easy chicken breast recipes would convert? Like a quick toss with lemon juice and powdered greek or italian dressing seasoning and then baked?
