Glad you were able to find someone who works on wells! They seem to be an endangered species lately. Congrats on water and hot showers!

Good morning QJB and menuers!

Happy Tuesday. I guess today is officially when everything goes back to normal, so yay for that!

I've got to get a few non work things done today, including rescheduling a filling. The earliest appointment they had available was the end of February and now I'll be at a conference. Also need to schedule an appointment with my primary care provider to pursue more questions.

QOTD- I can speak Spanglish but that's about it. I wish kids here were encouraged to learn languages at a younger age. My last partner was fluent in four languages. My Spanish ability helped to an extent with reading in the French countryside but that was an interesting trip. I did get to use limited skills when being sent to Mexico for work a few years back. Immersion does make a difference.

Menu

Low carb chicken soup, low carb stew, sausage and spinach gnocchi, hopping John, whatever protein I need to make up for.

Cheers, everyone.

Kelly - do you have access to a SkiErg? It's like a rower that is vertical instead of horizontal and mimics cross country skiing. You might be able to do it with your boot or even your scooter

I don't have access as of now, I may have to revisit my gym membership once I start PT. I have been avoiding adding the additional commute time to my routine since I got comfy using my equipment at home and gaining the extra sleep time since I can roll outta bed and start working out. But, I'll see what direction I get when I get evaluated at my first PT.

Languages seem to be very use it or lose it. When I was learning Spanish as an adult, they recommended watching telenovellas and English captioning; I keep captioning on all the time but every once in a while I will switch to Spanish just to see if I can follow along

Good morning. It's rainy and cold and we have an "atmospheric river" coming through for the next 3-4 days. It's going to stay wet for days which is very unusual for us.

Yesterday I stuck pretty close to my menu plan. The "real" reals were an added Hershey's kiss and an added Yukon gold baby potato. They were so good I couldn't stop at one. And then we were watching the game, and things were just really traumatizing and our good mood went introspective and sad. I just can't tell you how much we were feeling for the family. But I did not turn to food or wine. And today things look better all over. I don't have any idea who this kid is, and have never met his family, but we watched him go down and following moments and it really rocked us both.

Today we have the girls (who are upstairs fighting already, looks like a nap kind of day) and I need to get some business stuff done for my dad and figure out a work out. If I can get a window, I want to hit the stairs because I have a busy week and if I can knock out one of my two stair days I will be ahead of the game. I just need 45 minutes of no heavy rain once the sun comes up.

QoTD: No. I want to say not even a little, but I can ask for wine and water in most places and I always do my best imitation of hello, good morning/evening, thank you and you are welcome. My accent is way off, but my effort is obvious. Dubro utro in Bulgarian to you all.

Menu plan is:

B: the very last of the turkey. YAY. cottage cheese and tomato

L: Asian salad and three TJ's pot stickers

D: Not sure. Thinking last night's leftovers of roasted pork, and the carrots I made. This one is more an audible for sure since I have the girls all day and I really want to finish off left overs and clean out the fridge.

I'll update the real choices tomorrow. Accountability is high on my list right now.

Peace Everybody.

That was tough to watch. I have followed sports for almost 50 years and don't ever remember hearing CPR being applied.
