I would also like to try a sound bath. It is suppose to be transformative and help with meditation.

Good Morning to Monday and Friends

it is my usual day off. Not a ton going on today. I will be heading to the dentist to get a retainer to prevent further teeth migration on my upper teeth. Pilates this evening. Maybe some house cleaning today if I feel like it.

QOTD: I am impressed with the intention to try something new every week. That is great, it can even be something small like a new recipe! I didn?t make any actual resolutions but maybe be more intentional about relationships. I would love to go on a cruise or travel to a new place as something new

Accountability: good. Added popcorn as a snack.

B: triple zero Greek yogurt with keto granola, berries, cold brew with half n half

L: Asian chicken salad with light sesame ginger dressing

D: lettuce berry salad with chicken with light poppy seed dressing

S: 4 squares sf chocolate, protein frosty

E: inferno pilates

Good morning!

I had a lovely weekend and got to hang out with friends and family. It rained all day yesterday, but I finally managed to talk myself into a 40 minute yoga program (special shout out to Amy for the push!) I made excellent food choice until dinner and then I had a limited amount of lasagna, one piece of garlic bread and a little salad. No wine. Day one of the new year, in the books.

Today looks good to me. I just got home from my HIIT class and I'm doing the cooling down ok now I'm freezing need a hot shower to defrost thing. Having coffee, catching up on emails and watching the Rose Bowl parade right now. We don't have lots on the agenda, but I really need to start breaking down the upstairs closet in prep for the painters. Or I will wait and do it in a panic at 11 o'clock the night before the painters arrive. Sometimes I need Inspiration to make me get started.

QoTD: We have many new things on the agenda for this year. A 3-4 month road trip with NO reservations. Winging it as we go. This is almost paralyzing to me. I need control. But I am determined to go with the flow. Also seeing three new countries before the year is out and putting my feet in the Aegean Sea and I think the Mediterranean Sea. And I ran a little bit today in workout class. Normally I am walker, but I want to try to see if I can be a little bit of a runner. The other big new thing is I am going to try to embrace a more veggie/plant/fruit driven diet. I've been doing some research, and a well known bariatric doctor thinks after 3 years, we should eat half or more veggie per meal and reduce proteins. This has me interested in two ways. 1) I love the idea of having fruit again and I love salads, and 2) high protein diets seem to contribute to Osteoporosis and I am determined to hold the line on my numbers. I'm trying this for the next month or two and see how my body responds. Rapid weight gain will send me scrambling back for protein I am sure.

Menu today looks a little bit like

B: cottage cheese, tomato and a little turkey

L: onions and tri colored peppers and a little more turkey (it's almost gone!!) 1/2 apple, I'm so excited.

D: porkchetta roast from Trader Joe's, spinach salad and 1 baby Yukon potato.

Peace Everybody!

Your road trip sounds amazing to me...but I travel like a blown leaf in the wind. :) hope it won't be too stressful for you. Also, yay for a more plant-based diet! That's super exciting!

are you going to Turkey? (you mentioned Aegean and Mediterranean Seas - but that could be Greece, too, right?). I LOVED Turkey - such a fascinating place!

Greece, Turkey, Jerusalem. Two nights in Istanbul. Starting in Athens, ending in Haifa.

Traveling by cruise ship, but we have lots of time and we already have shore excursions booked in every single place for 14 days.

Part of the reason we picked this one is because so many people we know rave about Turkey! Glad to know you loved it too.
