I loved and miss waking up to a house of random sleeping kids. Lots of happy memories!

The random positions these kids can sleep in cracks me up.

Good job working on staying positive with your ankle. That must be super frustrating...but it's getting better!

Happy belated and sounds like there was a fun gathering at your home. Glad you got your pedi in!

Thank you! Oh, I am trying to be positive now but that was after the meltdown Friday. Rationally I know in the long run it'll be worth it but it's hard to have additional frustration and no way for me to release it since my exercise is my go-to.

Good morning, everybody!

We are off today, so still in vacation mode. Was relieved that QOTD wasn't the beginning of year status update, because I do want to enjoy one more lazy day. Today I have my lifting session in the morning and, other than checking emails, it will be one last day of football.

We had a nice holiday. Friday night we had a holiday party with one of the tennis ladies. But we had to get up really early on Saturday morning, because DD flew back home at 7:20 on Saturday morning. New Years Eve we watched football and went to bed at about 12:03. I think we made it up mainly because a restaurant that we know was on the Chicago TV New Year's show. It's actually where I had the Bloody Mary after the 5K in December. Yesterday was a pretty low key day of doing errands.

Marilyn may be going to get her kayak today. DD said that he will drive down with her, but they are waiting for an email from the store. On Wednesday,Marilyn and my youngest are leaving for Alabama. She gets back on Friday and leaves Saturday for Colorado

Friday, I am going to Boston for my Mom's 80th birthday celebration. I was really looking forward to quiet weekend at home, but this is important that I go.

QOTD: We are going on a cruise next December and I would like to try a new sport like windsurfing or something like that.

Breakfast: Egg sandwich

Lunch: Meatball

Dinner: Hamburgers

Have a great day, all!

I think she secretly loves these drives because it's time with the boys.

QJB, That is a fantastic resolution. Remember that the difference between a wish and a goal is that they are both the same, except the goal has a date attached to it. Write down your list of things to do and put tentative dates. Then review the list often and cross off what is done. I try to start every day of my life with 15 minutes of planning. It keeps me from forgetting things and makes life much smoother.
