Do you read any Jenny Lawson? Her koala costume story is one of my absolute favorites. I think it's in Furiously Happy.

we went to a great restaurant in the Gaslamp district when were in San Diego 17 years ago. It featured a lot of Mexican-fusion kinds of dishes and the food was terrific. We went there twice it was so good. None of the names of restaurants that are there now are ringing a bell, so it must have closed. Although 17+ years would be a pretty long run for a restaurant..

Our downtown is definitely going through a hard spell. So many things have closed down and the homeless situation is really impacting it. We need to get safe help for those in need, and make a concentrated effort to bring back the vibe. It's such a pretty place and all it needs is some love.

Good morning, everybody!

QJB, what you said about not knowing what day it is rings true. I keep trying to take my once weekly shots (Sunday) or vitamins (Saturday) or going outside to see if the paper is here (Saturday). But then I remember that it is Thursday.

Work has been slow this week. I still need to do that one thing, so maybe today. But I thought yesterday would be the busiest day and it was actually slower than Tuesday. It's been a nice break.

The cranberry Mimosas came out well last night, but we only had two couples for Happy Hour.

DD was able to schedule a flight for Saturday morning and then a flight to Colorado on Saturday afternoon. Since its Southwest, I don't know how likely it is to happen but she at least has a path. In the meantime, we love having her home the extra days.

Tonight we are making fish tacos and watching Glass Onion. Crossfit and maybe one store.

QOTD: Orvis.

Cheez-it Hotel Room

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: Roast Beef

Dinner: Fish tacos

Have a great day, all.

if it weren't for the fact that DH still works, I'd be confused on the days all the time. He's off work this week and yep - I keep forgetting what day it is!

hi all late post for me. still no water BUT we found the issue at the well the pvc pipe and fittings were busted in 6 places. so hubs pulled it off and got all but 1 part to cement it all back together. the main issue i see is that he is still recovering from back surgery and really should not be bending around plumbing things...

QOTD: I consider aldi, trader joe etc specialty stores because I live in the boonies. I recently found a farm store near me and they sell fresh grass fed beef, cheeses, and lambs in spring. we just found them recently and made burgers they were yummy.

weight is dropping finally though slow.

not sure what im eating but probably lunchmeat, cheese, and a joseph pita
