What's on your Tuesday Menu

Good morning everyone! Oof, I just got a chance to read yesterday's thread. Sounds like it was a tough weekend for a lot of you. Sending good thoughts to Kelly & Mel, specifically!
I am not sure what happened to me, but I am still dealing with my little cold and then yesterday I went through another crazy bout of nausea (before I ate anything). I didn't end up throwing up this time (thank god) but I felt like I could have for hours. I finally took a 2 hour nap, and then I went back to bed early and slept all night! No idea what I am fighting but it's frustrating. But on the plus side, I did manage to knock a few big things off of my to-do list yesterday before I collapsed :) Hopefully doing the same today, but without the illness.
QOTD: Pick a theme song for your life! I'm going with Here Comes the Sun (Beatles).
I am a little nervous to eat anything but if I am up for it, I will have:
B: egg
L: chicken & veggie hash
D: veggie burger

ugh, Mcdonalds. I'm happy to say I kicked that habit during pre-op, it's been 5 years since I've had anything other than ice tea or coffee from there.
Sorry you are still not feeling well; if you're having sinus issues/drainage that could be part of it, especially if it's after you wake up before you eat. Ugh there as well. Hope you start feeling better soon.
I took down all the christmas stuff yesterday, folder all the laundry and ordered from my local bookstore -- free shipping so I didn't have to drive cross town and brave the Boxing Day crowds, lol. It was perfect so then I ended up watching the extended edition of Return of the King; having watched all three LOTR movies this last week, I have to say I am so impressed how well they've held up...also, how has it been more than 20 years since the first one, 19 since the last? Wow, time is funny.
This morning I did not want to work out so I switched up the rowing for a 25 minute fast boxing series and then a 25 minute slow strength ball session and now I'm beat, which is a great way to go back to the work week, lol.
QOTD - my theme song changes regularly but right now I'd go with "If it takes a lifetime" by Jason Isbell. "I keep my spirits high, find happiness by and by, if it takes a lifetime". Jason is one of the best songwriters of this generation, so many of his lyrics resonate at different times. This one to me is about doing the work to become who you want to be, no matter how many times you've gotten off course.
menu today is
coffee plus half and half X 2
Cold brew with SF syrup
morning round with PB
yogurt
something chicken for dinner - maybe some of the RGF bites.
have a terrific Tuesday everyone and welcome back to the work week if this is day 1.

I love the thought behind your answer, especially the lyrics you added. Very resonant.

Mornin' All!
I'm probably going to brave the cold and go to water aerobics this morning since I'm tired of exercising to youtube videos. Hair appt this afternoon. That's it - but I have lots of stuff I need to do for one of my organizations.
QOTD: I'll have to circle back - nothing is coming to mind...
B: not hungry at all - but I'd better have something before going to the 8:30 water aerobics class. Maybe a protein shake or some Greek yogurt
MS: whatever I don't have for breakfast
L: 1/2 a package of Loma Linda Southwest Bowl
AS: protein muffin
D: chili
have a great day, everyone!
So sorry about the sickness Julia. Jen is right that it could be from drainage. Might be a good day for chicken soup and hot tea. I go for ginger ale and crackers when feeling nauseated. There are times I have stopped for a Mc Donald's burger and eaten just the meat and pickle, not the bun. Anything else from there seems to make me feel sick.
My song the last year has been Dolly Parton's Eagle When She Flies. I have been sick and weak a lot and the song tells me that I will get stronger in time.

Good morning - Sorry to hear you had an odd sick day yesterday - hopefully today is much better. Yesterday was a whole lot of chilling and relaxing. Other than a grocery run, nothing got done around here. I read, watched TV and napped on and off all day. It was wonderful until I went to bed and was wide awake! Anyway - back to life/work today. Today I will hopefully finish up a report, which actually means I will have it done tomorrow since it's 'Monday'.
QOTD - Something James Taylor for sure - in fact, all the James Taylor songs.
Yesterday:
b-coffee, tamale
l-last of the pork in low carb tortilla
d- lasagna
s-2 brussels cookies, 2 mini reeses pb cups
Today:

l - tamale, cherry tomatoes
d- fajitas in a bowl
Have a wonderful day!
