It's sad that they took so long to do that for him. Any word about cause of death?

Good morning everyone and happy Thursday! I am writing in from under the covers, in my warm onsie, looking out the window at about 3 inches of snow. I will do no more than look at it today!
The dentist did think I have a pocket of infection so I've got a round of antibiotics going so I'm glad I didn't wait to go in.
QOTD - unofficially, I went in for my massage at 330 yesterday and the car temp said it was 50; I came out at 5 and the car temp said it was 6. Then it dropped a few degrees on my drive home. Officially, the temp drop 24 degrees in 7 minutes at its fastest and DIA which is where our "official" weather station is, dropped 37 degrees in just under an hour. I looked at that like if I had started my rowing yesterday at 50 degrees and stopped it at 23 degrees!!! We're currently -13 and feels like -33 at my house...hence me only looking at the snow. It can wait.
I did have to runaround like a lunatic yesterday when I got home and save my baby Yoda, Boba and Dino blowups, they were about to embark and their own journey to points east and south and although it was only 10 minutes, that was pretty cold for my ungloved hands!
Today I'm staying in my PJs, watching TV and reading...I did pick ups 4 pre-frozen brown butter chocolate chip cookies from Whole Foods so I will make 1 or 2 of those today and I'm giving myself a rest day....mostly because I think the basement will be cold.
I hope everyone stays warm and dry wherever you are and has safe travels for anyone hitting the road, finishing the shopping, teaching a class or having to commute today!
menu today
all the hot drinks
egg and English muffin

some type of leftover
cookie
Have a good Thursday

I did go out and shovel; I wanted to see how my boots would hold up -- when we went to Antarctica, we had to wear their boots anytime we got off ship because they needed to be sanitized before and after touching the continent so I didn't have to take boots. I am back in the toasty warm for the rest of the day though.

Good morning. We are definitely butter out people. I was raised that way. Of course I have given up some of the things I was raised on, like the cast iron skillet full of "seasoned" (read that pre-used) greases that was stored in the oven and pulled out to reheat the grease fpr tater tots, or scoop some out to season the egg pan. But I sure think those tater tots were the best of my life. Now I just air fry them or bake them.
People keep sending chocolates and cookies to the house. I really wish they would stop. I did excellent real food wise yesterday, but I added one bite of a stuffed peanut butter cookie and 1 miniature Reeses pb bell and one glass of wine. Also I took a total rest day on exercise yesterday. I'm also sporting fresh toes and have new glasses on order. A good day all around.
Today my Dad arrives. I'm starting a crockpot roast beef dinner for him. I realized I need a few more veggies for that so I am taking a little shopping bag with me when I head out for the stairs and I'll run into the grocery store I pass on the way back. Also need syrup since the girls will be here tomorrow. Of course, I'll be all ready to make them hot waffles and they'll be like "can we have Cheerios and milk or a scrambled egg"?
QoTD: Don't hate me. They are projecting 80 degrees for Sunday afternoon. It's going to be a T-shirt holiday around here.
Menu:
B: leftover piece of meatloaf and cottage cheese
L: leftover piece of lasagna
D: roast beef, a bit of potato and some carrots
E: Hello Thursday. That means stairs for me.
Peace Everybody.

I need fresh toes but will wait until next week; years ago when I was in Minnesota in January (coldest I have ever been) I learned they wrap your fresh pedi in saran so you can put your socks and boots back on...but here, you just have to either stay until they are dry or brave the flip flops. I'm fond of my toes so no flip flops today or tomorrow, lol.

I do the gel nails that dry under the light. I don't have the patience to sit for my nails to dry. Shoes on after 5 minutes of drying under the light.

80 degrees sounds wonderful. Even when I was in Las Vegas last weekend it wasn't that warm (40-50s). So jealous.
