Ahh this feels accurate. I was completely derailed by food poisoning yesterday. I decided to try to eat down some stuff in the freezer, including a box of turkey burgers that have been there since dinosaur times... Bad idea, apparently. I'm 100% back to normal today but lamenting a lost day. I still have no ornaments on the tree, and zero presents for anyone except my parents. Whatever.

I'm teaching my last cookie class of the season tonight from 6pm - 8pm and its about 1.5 hours away. I just saw the weather and apparently it's supposed to get bad around 5pm. Blergh. I had thought about canceling earlier this week, but yesterday they had changed the forecast and said it wasn't going to start until after midnight. Oh well--I'll just have to white-knuckle it. Anything for cookies, right?

QOTD: Since this is supposed to be a sea-to sea national weather event--what's happening where you are? Snow? Ice? Cold? Freezing rain for us!

B: egg bites

L: quinoa veggie burger

S: babybel cheese on the road

D: nothing--teaching tonight

Good morning everybody!

That picture is exactly why we have become butter out people.

I am glad to hear that you are feeling better JB.

I'm getting ready to head to the airport in about an hour. The snow is not supposed to start here until around noontime today. They are now saying 3 to 6 inches all together.

Happy Hour was fun. We made a Christmas Margarita from the Half Baked Harvest website that DD follows. Just split 2 between 3 people which was perfect.

Work is still adding one new task for everything I knock off. Hopefully today is the turning point and the list starts getting shorter.

QOTD: Snow in Chicago but less than originally forecast. I am pretty confident about getting out in time. Fort Worth is going to be very cold for the game (17 degrees by 9:00). The big variable is travel home tomorrow. I am supposed to get in at about 4:00 PM. If that doesn't happen, I have a flight booked Saturday as well.

Food will probably be airport breakfast, room service lunch and dinner at the game.

Have a great day, all!

Good mornin everyone. Man it's cold.

Unfortunately we have to get out today for a few fresh groceries and my mom has a dentist appointment. I started having a sore throat late yesterday afternoon. It has snowballed and also gotten better in the space of 12 hours. It still hurts but nothing like it did right as I went to bed. Hopefully it's just drainage from sinus stuff or my ears. I don't have time to get sick and I don't want to postpone my surgery. I'm sipping on hot beverages or cold water. Please please don't let me get sick! LOL

QOTD: we've had about 1 to 1.5 inches of blowing snow. It's -2° with a windchill of around - 29°. Praying none of our pipes bust. We made it through two years ago when we got down to -12° plus a hefty windchill so I think we'll be ok. My body is hurting so bad...I hate this cold.

B: JUST egg bowl + coffee

L: chicken soup

D: rinse and repeat lunch

Sounds like you need a heater to curl up next to. Or a nice electric blanket. Hope the hot drinks help! And that no one brings over sick kids.
