Mornin folks.
It wasn't the weekend for me. Emotionally it was hard. Not even sure why...the pain coupled with some stuff I guess. My niece Riley stayed the night last night. We had her birthday party yesterday. My brother's MIL came and it was frosty...to say the least.
Not 100% sure what today'll hold. The kids are coming over to help make candy later. My mom is wanting haystacks and peanut clusters...oh and chocolate covered pretzels. This is a trying time lol. Most I can resist. I've done well with the fudge I made Wednesday. Either way I gained a pound and a half. I'm not going to be too hard on myself the next week. Not an excuse to go wild but I refuse to hate myself over missteps.
I've mailed everything I need to mail. I've got Christmas presents made and done. I do need to work on some knighting chains for my cousin for amptgaurd ...I think that's what it's called. Hoping to get them done before surgery on the 3rd.
They are forecasting a low of -5 on Thursday. Oh joy of joys.
QOTD: it's kind of funny...I had a poster for the album Iowa by Slipknot and one that was up of the Backstreet Boys. Kind of gives a clue to my vast taste in music. At one point I had a bunch of the wood block Japanese art posters up. I was into oriental art for a while...esp Japanese art.
B: JUST egg cup and coffee
L: potato soup
D: ????
S: I'm sure I'll have a pretzel or two

Good morning! Just back from my HIIT class and it's outdoors and went from 40 degrees all the way up to 44 during the class. As hard as that class is for me, I am still like a popsicle over here! We had a fairly good weekend and I behaved with food. I also biked 7 miles on Friday and Sunday and did the stairs Saturday. My son says I need to set goals for exercising, so I made it through the stair part in a new personal best of 19 minutes and no rest breaks. First time with no rest breaks. It was challenging.
Even though I behaved on food this weekend, last night I made those potatoes that are all over social media. Scored and then placed in a butter/parm mixture and baked. They were wonderful, and I limited my self to one. But I have one I saved and hid so it didn't get eaten and I am looking forward to that for lunch today.
QoTD: No posters on my wall. Was never my thing.
Menu:
B: crack chicken from the freezer, cottage cheese
L: left over Porchetta pork roast from Trader Joe's. I think it's new or seasonal, but YES, buy it!!! And the little potato half.
D: frenched pork chop, sweet potato and tomato slices.
I literally have nothing left that I have to do today. So maybe I'll read, maybe I'll go get some food to feed the family that is coming for Christmas Eve. I definitely am headed to a hot shower to defrost.
Peace Everybody!

Next time I'm down in SD I need to do those stairs with you. Every time I hear about them from you I'm tempted to come down just for the stairs.
