Good morning, everybody!
QJB, your meme game has been very strong lately. I loved the one about ordering noodles with butter at the children's weddings. I thought that Jennifer Coolidge was really good in White Lotus and I felt really sympathetic towards her by the end.
I am feeling stressed this morning. It looks like there is a blizzard heading towards Chicago which may cause all sorts of travel problems. I am scheduled to fly to Dallas on Thursday morning, go to the football game with her Thursday night and then fly back home on Friday afternoon. I am worried that either, I won't be able to get out of Chicago on Thursday, or worse, we aren't able to get back home to Chicago on Friday. I guess that I will keep watching it.
Also work. The thing with the late night Asia meetings appears to be heating up again. There is at least one other thing that has pre-holiday fuse as well.
And we weren't able to get Marilyn's kayak on Friday because she they had a 7 hour driving day, so I need to do that with her today and its about 1 and 1/ 2 hours away. Hopefully, they have one in stock that she likes and I can knock that off my list.
Hopefully, my time working with my lifting coach this morning will take these things off of my mind and help me feel better.
QOTD: My parents thought that having posters on walls took away from the value of a house. Now that I type that it seems deranged.
Breakfast: Egg sandwich
Lunch: Roast beef
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!

exercise does take the edge off stress - or at least it does for me. I think we're on the northern edge of that anticipated storm. Luckily, I don't have anything important planned for the end of the week. It's still a few days off, though - sometimes things happen (like a storm goes further north or south than expected - or it ends up being not as bad as predicted), so fingers crossed!
my mother was the same way about posters - but they were OK with them in our bedrooms.

So, did you just keep the magazines between your mattresses?

Mornin' All!
we received a handful of unexpected Christmas cards over the weekend, so I'll reciprocate today. I thought I was all done with this last week, sending out the usual - but, nope... No complaints, though - it was fun to get some from "new" senders!
I was going to go to Aqua Zumba today after my book discussion group meeting, but it's so cold out that I might do a virtual Zumba class instead. At any rate, I need to do SOMETHING. I haven't exercised since I had this wart frozen off my heel last Tuesday, and it's past time. The first two or three days was fine - the foot hurt and I didn't want to screw up anything, but at this point - yea, I need to get back to it.
eating over the weekend was better than expected. I went to a party Friday night and ended up eating too much - 2300 kcal over the course of the day - but it could have been worse. Decided to skip a party we were invited to on Saturday because a) it was a cookie party, and I couldn't look another sweet in the face and b) I was afraid I'd eat the damn things anyway, or at minimum, box some up to bring home - which I do NOT need. So...we didn't go. And I don't regret it.
QOTD: boy, that was so long ago that I don't even remember. I think at one time I had an art poster up that my parents got for me when they were in the USSR, but I don't remember if I still had that when I was in high school or not. I remember having one of Janis Joplin once, but that was either late elementary school or junior high. Not sure what happened to that - knowing my mother, she probably tossed it before one of our moves.
B: not hungry at all, but I may have some yogurt and then take a protein shake to the book group (it's from 10:00-11:30)
MS: the protein shake that I'll probably take to the book group meeting
L: the other half of my Loma Linda Southwest Bowl
AS: protein muffin
D: salad with chicken and light dressing
have a great day, everyone!
