Glad you made it our! Hope you have a wonderful time. I don't gamble, either but Vegas was a ton of fun for the shows and such. Cirque ones are always great. Cheers!

Mornin' All!

we're supposed to go to yet another party tonight (and another one tomorrow night, which I think we'll skip). I'm going to make cranberry oat bars and hope the roads are OK so I can get to get to the party so I won't have these things lying around the house this weekend (I suppose as dessert bars go, cranberry/oatmeal would rank higher on the nutrition scale than some other options. Although....sugar (if I was making them for myself, I'd use the fake kind)). Although I can always freeze them or "gift" them to a friend, too. But with any luck, we'll make it to the party tonight. Roads look OK so far. Nothing else on the agenda today or for the weekend. I'm trying to set up lectures for the spring for a lifelong learning organization I'm involved in. One booked so far, and I have a request (to a speaker) out for a second one I'm working on - so I'll have a couple more to go once those are set. I'd like to get this all done during the holidays when there's not much else going on.

QOTD: I finished watching the Harry & Meghan documentary series last night. I actually liked it and like them more than I did before. I thought some of the stuff they complained about was pretty much part and parcel of being famous, though, and not specific to them (such as the paparazzi showing up everywhere they go, paparazzi finally figuring out where they were living at any given time (the last couple of moves, it's taken about six weeks before the photographers figured out where they were and started showing up again outside their house). And some of the stuff they said seemed far-fetched (like the suggestion that some of the rumors that showed up in the British press originally came from the Royal Family itself), but the hate - such as the many, many racist comments and death threats - were awful and definitely a huge and real concern.

B: skyr with fruit, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: maybe salad (again...)

AS: I might have some keto thing - or maybe some tahini swirled into Greek yogurt and a couple of Wasa crackers (i.e., fat and fiber) to fill me up so I don't overdo it at the party

D: at the party. I'm going to just eat one plateful of food (which may include some goodies) - if I'm still wanting to eat after that, I'll hit the vegetable tray (someone always seems to bring one...)

have a great day, everyone!

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

So glad you got the break you needed. That meme today. Wow so true.

So, on the mom front she is so sick. I feel so bad for her. I did get her a flu shot but she is miserable with sinus and coughing. I hope she gets relief soon. I went to see the doctor about my trigger finger and I will be having hand surgery on December 28th. It is our slowest time here, so I am glad to be getting it done.

This weekend consists of being in the church kitchen tomorrow morning and 6am to cook 400 meals to give away to some nice folks that can use a little help. We will distribute Toys, health and beauty aids. clothing. coats, shoes, cookie trays, meals and prayers. After that will be Mom duty and more cookie baking. Sunday is church, brunch, and a Christmas celebration at a neighboring church that is supposed to be very rewarding spiritually and I can always use that.

QOTD: I just finished season 43 of Survivor and I have to say this was one of the best seasons ever. Other than that DH has found a passion for Hallmark and Lifetime movies, so the TV is always on either of those channels. TLC had a program on last night that freaked me out. Surgery Awake it was called. She did plastic surgery on people who were not sedated, and she was talking to then as she cut into them. No thank you I'll take the sedation.

Accountability: Grazed dinner as I baked cookies.

TSS: 5 years 5 days 161.2 (Lowest 129.4) This is the Surgerversey week. My sleeve was December 11th then I had a revision to RNY December 18.

B: Coffee with Coffee Mate SF chocolate caramel creamer

MS: Light and Fit Creme Brulee Greek yogurt and berries

CB: Coffee with Coffee Mate SF chocolate caramel creamer

L: spaghetti squash and a snack select

D: Carne Asada

Exercise: Nope

Water and Vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium. I also use Miralax and fiber in my first coffee of the day.

Have a great weekend my friends.

Brightest Blessings.

Chrissy

So much here. Hope your mom feels better soon! Thank you for the community support work you're doing and helping those in need.

Apparently December is just surgery month. Hopefully it will be quick, and with an easy recovery.

Love, love your PJ's! And I could fall face first onto that charcuterie table. Just...wow.

Thank you and yes, it is a very easy surgery. Recovery will be the 10 days till stiches come out. No PT needed. This is the 2nd one I had to get done so I am used to it now.

I think one of my uncles had that surgery. I don't remember it being a long recovery.

Cute pj.
Can I borrow your brother for my Xmas party? I see all these charcuterie boards on line but I have zero patience to sit there and cut all the cheese and roll up the cold cuts.
