Congratulations on your A1C and loss! Hopefully your progress continues and things improve. It's an ordeal living in pain.
Love the pics, and the pendent.

Wow, that first pic is so realistic, very 70s style. I can totally see you with the green hair and that rock n roll ensemble.

Good morning ~ Enjoy the down time, QJB! Yesterday was exhausting, today should be short and sweet. This weekend should be pretty chill for plans. We are having a serious talk with my son this weekend about him possibly moving home and going to culinary school in February. He has been through a lot and needs support. I'm always so worried about him.
Has anyone heard from Matt? He has been MIA for a bit and I hope he is okay.
QOTD - I am listening to It Ends With Us - so far so good. Still watching Wednesday and H+M. Movies are Christmas mode still the latest was Christmas Story Christmas - it was cute.

I have been wondering about Matt, as well. Hopefully he checks in.

I hope thing work out with your talk this weekend. Is culinary something you think he'd like to do? It is such a hard job. Every weekend and holiday are consumed and unless you own your own business compensation is not the best for the hours you put in. This is from experience of restaurant work in the 80's. I never landed my first grown up job till I was 32. I have hopes he'll figure it out but hopefully find his passion in whatever he decides.
I also agree that I am concerned of Matt does anyone follow him on Facebook has he been posting there?

Hope your son is okay! And nope...not on socials at all (tried looking up cookie IG but turns out you need an account to look. Bah!), so also hoping Matt is okay. Think it's been weeks.

Why is it so hard to talk to kids?
May the odds be in your favor, and the talk is calm and productive.

My daughter is a trained pastry chef. Got her degree from Johnson and Wales University. Chef's are a different breed. So different usually from line cooks and kitchen workers. They are passionate and creative and usually perfectionists. It's a very hard job, and often takes you away from family on the holidays and weekends for sure. But if it feeds his soul he should totally investigate the career. Most chefs do not make huge money, that's true. But when you love your work, is it really work? Ok yes it is really work. Hard work. But life flies by.
I for one would be happy to be a taste tester should he need one!
