Haha, thanks! It's only of the few planned social events I'm going to outside of work...even though it's with work people. Last year we made three giant pots of pork, chicken, and black bean tamales while eating snacks (and tamales) and drinking ****tails. Everyone takes some home and there are plenty to give away. Good fun. I do feel better at the moment, but told the organizers I won't be there if there's any question. I hope not to miss it.

I love the dessert ones I have pineapple and strawberry in the freezer now.

Having six brothers made it hard for me to like most boys when I was growing up. I saw how gross teenage boys can be at home. Missing the toilet and wearing smelly tennis shoes and talking trash about girls.

I was in love with Superman and saved my allowance to buy his comic books.

Good morning, everybody!

Today is an office day, so I'm heading out the door and into traffic. I think that I may take my youngest to this new Greek restaurant in our little town tonight if our schedules align.

I spoke with Marilyn last night and she said that the authorities were still recommending avoiding traveling on some of the roads in in Colorado and Western Nebraska because of the storm. So, I think that they will take the more southerly route home. Here we have just got rain.

QOTD: I don't have a good answer here. I guess my first celebrity crush was Ginger from Gilligan's Island.

I haven't, but I think she is nearly 90.

you're probably right - that show started up in the mid-60s, I think....so 55-ish years ago...

I'm supposed to meet someone for lunch today in a town about 20 miles away, but we got some snow overnight (it was all supposed to be north of here, but N-O-O-O-O....), so it depends on how the roads are. I'd be fine with rescheduling if need be since I'm going to a party tomorrow night. It's easier to control my intake if I can really limit "eating events" (we were invited to another party on Saturday night, but I'm pretty sure we're going to skip that one...). I may just stay in and read today. I planned to do that yesterday, but I spent much of the day goofing around on the internet.

QOTD: I don't remember when and who was my first celebrity crush (in fact, I can't remember if I even had one), but I liked this guy named Chris when I was in third grade. My first reciprocated "love" was in fifth grade with some guy named Geoff, who's now a retired teacher (yes - I looked him up on Facebook once...).

B: plain skyr with cranberry/cherry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: if I meet up with my friend, I'll order street tacos at the restaurant, and hopefully stick to just eating one of them (this place doesn't have them available a la carte, unfortunately - I think there are two or three to a plate with beans and rice). They do have a la carte enchiladas and burritos, though - I guess i could order an enchilada instead...

AS: probably nothing if I do go out to lunch. Otherwise, a protein muffin
