Thank you! Turns out I'd only saved two or three non travel shirts when I moved...both ones I really love. :)

OMG, your post brings back so many memories from losing weight after surgery. It is such an awesome feeling realizing how you are shrinking. And not to be the biggest person in the room/group is such a great feeling. That picture with the shirt really demonstrates how much you have lost weight wise. Plus the scale! Your doing so great.

Thank you! It's definitely a process and a series of reality checks, I'd say. As you shrink, it takes time, and so does absorbing the changes. Always been super conscious of my size and how much more room I took up than other people, so those realizations in particular stick out. Six months ago I would have been mortified during that activity because having room to maneuver mattered. All the little milestones and revelations are real! And can be good to revisit. :)

Good Friday mornin everyone.

I forgot that my niece Rachel had an orchestra concert last night. It was good for the most part. My SIL's mom has further proven herself to be not so great and the seats were murder on my back. My SIL is in a bad spot...well the entire family is. If you don't mind a few prayers would be appreciated for her, my brother and the kids.

Rachel is spending the night tonight and then Riley and Randall are staying the night Saturday.

We might run to Walmart this morning and my mom is wanting to go shopping for me so I'll be home after the grocery store.

QOTD: I don't usually have issues but apparently to everyone I'm hard to buy for. LOL. They don't know where to buy gift certificates for jump rings or tools. I don't think I'm hard to shop for if you listen to people. I usually just get cash. My mom asked me yesterday if I wanted to go pick out my gift. Of which this year there really isn't much I need that's not to expensive. I have no working computer and the iPads on the way out.

I do give money to my brother and SIL along with some baked goods. They ask specifically for the money as they can get what they collect...legos and Barbie's.

B: JUST egg, sausage and coffee with 3 marshmallows

L: thinkin a PP shake

D: tacos

S: maybe popcorn and I had a Milano cookie that was the last of em.

My weight is down and I'm more than ok with that.

My pics are of animals...LOL. I had a new app from Adobe available that does some AI. I also wanted to again share the photo of the drawing I had done of our late Merlin. I posted it Saturday but I know a lot of you most likely didn't see it. It made us cry. A definite splurge but it's so good.

That last picture of Mona is my favorite! You are very good with the photo editing tools. I pretty much can only crop, lol.

Mornin' All!

great cookies for an economist! He's going to love those!

well today I get to test to see if I'm still negative for COVID. I'm betting I will be, but you never know. Nothing on the agenda today except for coffee with a friend later this morning, but it was supposed to snow overnight, so I'll check out the roads once the sun comes up. If they're bad, I'm staying put.. More snow in the forecast for the weekend. Doesn't matter to me today, but I have two holiday parties tomorrow (one in the afternoon, and one in the evening). I hope they don't get snowed out, but then again, that means I won't be at risk of overeating. Speaking of which, I did well with the luncheon stuff yesterday. I ended up my day at my maintenance level of calories (1600 is my level....I had 1652 yesterday), which I was proud of. If I can continue to stay right around my maintenance level on days when we're going to holiday dinners or parties, and around 1300-1400 on the other days, I should be OK. I have a re-check at the doctor's office early next week (Tuesday, I think) - weight check and BP check to make sure I'm doing OK on this drug. That'll be another incentive to monitor my eating this weekend...one bad day could blow it all to hell.

QOTD: back when we exchanged gifts, it was a struggle to think of ideas for pretty much everyone besides my mother. I always bought her earrings (she loves earrings as much as I love purses. She has a HUGE collection). I don't know if there was any one person who was harder than the others - but maybe my brother-in-law?? Anyway, it was much easier once we resorted to exchanging gift certificates. And even easier now that we don't exchange anything at all. We just get together for the day and have a big dinner.

B: plain skyr with cranberry/cherry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake - and then coffee or a latte (with SF syrup) if I meet up with my friend

L: salad with chicken and light dressing

AS: protein muffin

D: chili (I'm going to make a pot of it this afternoon)

ex: I have to do something because I didn't do anything yesterday. There's a virtual Zumba Gold class at my gym later this morning (i.e., low-impact Zumba - basically for seniors) - I may do that. Otherwise, there's always youtube videos... (I was hoping if I test negative I could go to the gym, provided the weather cooperates, but I'm not seeing much in the way of classes today...)

have a great day, everyone!
