they're saying this will probably be a bad season for flu and COVID, so I'm not surprised you're hearing more about cases lately. I know for a fact that I've sat next to two people who tested positive for COVID the day after I was with them (once in Scotland - the other time at a party I was at - I talked to this woman for about an hour), but I didn't get it either time. Hopefully I won't this time, either. I was sitting at the same table as my niece, but she was kitty-corner from me, so I wasn't super close - so hopefully... I"m more worried about my mom since my niece drove her to and from the restaurant. Plus my mom is almost 90 years old to boot..

ugh, hope everyone's immune system holds it off! Sounds like the drama with you MIL might have been a good thing, if she reacted that badly to a change in dates, can't imagine her reaction to exposure!

Good morning, everybody!

Lisa, I hope that your tum settled down and you were able to enjoy your anniversary celebration.

I hope that Matt is OK, I don't think he has posted for a few days.

I have a long day today. My last doctor's appointment of the year at 9:00 and a conference call overseas at 10:30 tonight. Lots of things in between.

I have my office party on Saturday. It's ****tail Attire or "Holiday Glam". I'm not sure what Holiday Glam is, but I am guessing that it means sparkly stuff. I will probably just stick with a non-sparkly blue suit. Marilyn will be driving back from Alabama with my youngest on Saturday, and I may have to just scoop her up and bring her to the party.

It's at the Museum of Science and Industry and they will have an exhibit of Christmas trees from around the World. We will probably only go for two hours. But time it right to hit appetizers, food stations and deserts within the two hours.

QOTD: Normally, I would have the same answer as QJB. However, a lot of the UFO sightings lately have been coming from increasingly credible sources such as military pilots. While UFO doesn't necessarily equate with aliens, I am curious about what is going on.

Breakfast: egg sandwich

Lunch: Chicken Parm

Dinner: Kielbasa

Have a great day, all!

It went pretty good. She would like my blood sugar a little lower.

Good morning ~ Yesterday, maintenance finished the last of the ergo items needed to move to my new office full time instead of going back and forth. My computer and equipment are set up, I just need to move the soft stuff, personal things, organize and I'm all set. It?s hard to focus when you don?t have everything you need in one place. I almost bit someone's head off because of it yesterday and that is not like me. Just then, Rob texted and asked if I wanted some wine from the store and I said hell yes. I didn't get all the things done - not even close but at least a big problem was solved. Today I hope to catch up from yesterday and "look ma, no meetings" today!

I forgot to call the doc and ask to move my endo appt yesterday. But, on my way home from work the doctor called ME and rescheduled my endo for this Thursday ? she is concerned after seeing my UGI results and yes its definitely a stricture. The plan is to correct on Thursday if it is safe to do so. I'm hopeful and can't wait to say goodbye to these symptoms - they are all I think and dream about now.

QOTD - Definitely - always have. The possibilities are infinite. I used to jest (or maybe it was the pot talking) that we are probably a science experiment - humankind growing in a petri dish (our planet/galaxy) being studied by giants and that there are millions of other petri dishes of lifeforms like ours being studied together.

Yesterday:

b- coffee, eggs, salsa

L ? Tiki hut bowl for a staff bday ? chicken, veggies and rice with teriyaki sauce. Rice got stuck - felt awful

d- red pepper soup w/cheese its

+2 glasses of wine, 4 ginger snaps

Today:

b- coffee, TJ's egg-wich

l - chicken and salad

d- chicken and green beans

Have a great day!
