What's on your Monday Menu?
He looks just like Max, he's my favorite character in the Grinch.
QOTD- Netflix, Disney+, Amazon, Paramount +, PBS. Plus Dish for the football and DVR, but it's really too expensive.
Mel, if you donate to PBS you get the app and streaming content for free.
It snowed all day yesterday but it didn't stick, which was good. No more snow for a while I hope.
Nothing exciting going on here, I got another scratching post for the cats and they promptly broke the elastic that was holding the mouse on. So I'll find something else to reattach it.
Accountability was not good. I was craving bread because it was cold and snowing, so I made a loaf of bread and ate 3 slices over the night.
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning! Today I am celebrating 42 years of marriage to the same dude. Mind blowing. I've done my HIIT class, got Ryan on the road and put the kitchen back in order. Trying to decide to make reservations for dinner or pop into the store for something. My stomach has not been great, and that is probably my fault from too many indulgences, so I'm not sure it's worth going out for dinner. But I also know that Roger would prefer a dinner date since I make us eat at home almost exclusively if we are in town. I'm pounding Pantoprazole and we'll see how I feel a bit later.
We had a very peaceful weekend and ended it with our neighbor's annual holiday party and then some Farkle and a charcuterie plate for dinner with Ryan. I ate only basic, dense protein all day yesterday so I could indulge at the party, but my stomach was not having it. I ended up with 1 meatball and 1 stuffed tiny cherry pepper. So many other things I wanted to try, but my stomach just hurt too much.
QoTD: We cut the cable cord a few months ago. We have Netflix and Paramount that we pay for and share. My company pays for our Amazon Prime. My brother shares his discovery + package with us and my daughter shares Disney +. Our buddy Kevin shares Hulu. And we have an antenna for local channels. If these companies ever start cracking down, we'll have to reassess.
Menu today
B: chicken breast, cottage cheese, bourbon maple seasoning
L: more chicken breast. And maybe something crunchy but not too carby
D: TBD

G'morning all!
That poor dog, he is cute but not happy about his antlers.
We had a little guest (15 years old) staying with us for the weekend. He is DH's cousin's son and was having some issues at home; as in not following the rules. Mom and dad were at their wits end so we offered to take him off their hands. DH was excited like a kid, he really misses our son and the camaraderie they had when he was younger. So he set up the projector TV with the huge screen and those two played all sorts of video games till 2:00 am. We tried to not have any rules so that the kid could relax a little. You want hot dog from a burger place for dinner? Sure! You want auntie's choc chip cookies? Sure! You want whipped cream with your hot cocoa? Sure! You want to squirt the whipped cream directly in your mouth? Sure! You wanna play video games till 2:00 am? Talk to your uncle, I'm going to bed. He had so much fun and we are thinking of doing this on a monthly basis. I think DH had also a lot of fun and got his fix of having a "son" at home.
QOTD: QJB, you have no idea how timely your QOTD is. We have cable in addition to Apple TV, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon prime and HBO max. DH was trying to see if we should get rid of cable because the only thing we watch onn cable is CNN. So he's been researching it the last couple of days.
My meals yesterday:
- Mexican scrambled eggs with all kinds of veggies (brunch with gfs)
- Skipped lunch
- Unexpected cheddar spread & soy crackers
- Chicken skewers
- E: Rest Day
Happy start of the week!
