What's on your Wednesday Menu?
on 11/30/22 3:56 am
Good morning QJB and menuers,
Sounds like smart planning so you can get those cookies out the door! Yes, I've been watching Wednesday and was surprised by liking it. Would also recommend.
QOTD- No one around here that I've seen. Probably doesn't help that I can't see a lot of my direct neighbor's houses from the road. :) When I was a kid we used to drive around neighborhoods and look at Xmas lights. Is that still a thing outside of the drive through parks these days?
My vision is still a bit wonky so I sent a message to my team and will work from home today. Preferable covered in a blanket and with a warm dog on my feet.
I worked until 11:30 last night after taking a short break to go into town and pick up orders, including the blanket set for the guest bedroom. Since I got home Sunday evening, there hasn't been much food prep this week. To combat, there is now crockpot marinara chicken with spinach and herbs. After the oikos last week, I'm going to try some individual yogurt flavors and see if anything sticks and isn't too sweet. Also picked up items for a few recipes this weekend.
Accountability- one chicken tender
Menu
One of the new yogurt flavors, baby carrots
Marinara chicken breast
Black pepper tuna infusions
Protein bar
Maybe a chocolate Fairlife shake. I can see why people like these things.
Have an excellent day, everyone!

My favorite yogurts are Light and Fit fruit on the bottom flavors. You can sort of control how much of the sweet you mix in or eat leaving the layer separate - a little bit of plain yogurt with a little sweet fruit in each bite.

Google things, guess I didn't realize how many different kinds of yogurt there are! Thanks for sharing.

QOTD. There is an entire block of lights where everyone competes with the neighbors, un officially of course. It is well known so people come from neighboring towns to see them. Other than that Christmas displays seem to have fallen out of favor.
Two more PT sessions left. I am down to once a week anyway. Another doctors appointment today at noon. I want to do a deep clean of the master bedroom today, but may bail on that. Our new roof was finished yesterday, we went with metal as that is the strongest, so other than a bigger storm surge than Ian, the home is as hurricane proof as you can get.
Menu. No breakfast as I am leaving for PT in 10 min. Lunch stuffed shells and veggies. Dinner is hamburger patty and veggies.
Melody your niece is adorable in the poodle skirt, you did a fabulous job with it. I remember having one of those, but mine was red and a hand me down from a cousin.
Mornin' All!
Feeling stressed again this morning - so weird that I sometimes wake up feeling stressed out for no apparent reason. Although at least it motivates me to exercise to work it off! I have one of my film discussion groups at 10:00, so I'll have to do a fitness video at home, since that doesn't leave me much time to go to the gym. BTW - the film we'll be discussing at today's meeting is "Obit". The one for Friday's film group is "Littlest Big Farm". Loved them both! Massage today at 1:30 - really looking forward to that. Otherwise...???
well I'm down a whopping 2.5 lbs since I started Phentermine a couple of weeks ago. I found that super disappointing until I remembered that I'm 15 lbs overweight now, not 200 lbs overweight, so I'm not going to drop 10 lbs in two weeks. I'm eating about 400 fewer calories per day than I had been, so that's 2800 fewer calories a week. So yea - it's going to take 1.5 weeks, on average, to lose one friggin' pound. So my loss was to be expected. Still, if I keep plugging away at it, I'll get there eventually...
QOTD: I haven't gotten out at night enough to look, but the displays I've seen have been pretty average - like Christmas lights on people's bushes.
B: protein shake, coffee with half & half
MS: one of the scones I made for today's meeting (not a great choice, but I worked the calories in)
L: haven't decided - but probably yogurt with cranberry/cherry compote (I don't want to eat anything too heavy because a) the scone and b) massage at 1:30)
AS: yogurt or a protein muffin
D: matzo ball soup
have a great day, everyone!

Do you have any side effects from the Phentermine? I took it for about 3 days when I was pre-op and I hated it. I couldn't sleep a wink and I got restless legs and felt all twitchy and terrible. And that was how I felt when I was fat, I can't even imagine what it would do to me, now!
