Morning everyone! Happy Hump Day! Today should be my "weekend" but I think I am going to keep going with school work and stay ahead so that when December cookie season ramps up I don't have a lot to do for school.

Has anyone been watching Wednesday, the new Netflix show about Wednesday Addams? It's sooo great! 10/10 recommend :)

QOTD: Does anyone in your town do crazy holiday light displays? I saw a bunch of TikTok videos this morning with huuuuuge light and music displays but I have not ever seen one in person. There are lots of people who do beautiful light displays but I don't think we have any of those ones with the synchronized music and trillions of lights. I can't even imagine how much electricity that takes!

B: coffee & turkey sausage

Good mornin JB and everyone!

today's plans are not extensive. Move a twin mattress downstairs and call the pharmacy. There was a mess up...again. They won't let me refill the Ozempic and it only had .5ml left. This is so so frustrating!

I've also got to work on chainmail. Make some ornaments with what supplies I have. I really need to order some but money...it's hard to spend when you don't have it LOL. Take as old as time...ha!

Last night was my niece Riley!s 4th grade play. It was bandstand, we helped make the skirt...well my mom did.

QOTD: we line our chain link fence in the front with small lights. There is some porch stuff my mom does. She also has some cheap solar lights from the dollar tree. Not to crazy but more than I'd choose to do!

B: JUST egg bowl and coffee x 2

L: slice of pizza

D: PP shake

S: ????

I misread the QOTD.

Ther are definitely people who go nuts in this city. The kind that have their own radio frequency to play music to the lights.

There also used to be someone who had a HUGE elm tree that covered it with over a million lights. I have to say it was rather glorious!

I read somewhere just a couple of days ago (might have been on the People's Pharmacy newsletter) that there's a huge shortage of Ozempic. That could be behind their refusal to refill your prescription.

Yeah...they told me about that too. I was also told by my psychologist (she specializes in diabetic patients...mostly kids) that there are tons of people begging to be diagnosed with type 2 for the weight loss benefits.

yea - there was a lot of debate back and forth on that article about the shortage between people who thought those doing it for weight loss should go to the end of the line until the shortage was over, so that diabetics would be prioritized - and those who thought it was fine if people doing it for weight loss, esp those who are morbidly obese, were still getting it since obesity can lead to diabetes. It's one of those arguments that I can empathize with both sides...

I don't know if people realize that is a diagnosis that sticks with you. I wouldn't be in a hurry to get it on my chart. Even when I was in remission for the 6 months after surgery my endocrinologist said that she would always consider me diabetic.

I agree! It's not a fun thing to deal with. I learned here that it'd likely not stay away forever.
