What's on your Tuesday Menu?

Oh man, I hope you're able to find what you need with the hay. After this summer, no one here has much of anything because of the drought. I have cows and donkeys showing up all over because there just isn't anything for them to eat.
Hope everything goes well as you head toward surgery, and that the doctors are all right that it will help your iron. That's a lot of infusions!

G'morning all!
Hope y'all had a great thanksgiving. My kids left on Sat and Sun and yesterday between cleaning the house, work, and three matches of World Cup I never got online.
I really enjoyed having the kids home and the house being so loud and full with extra people. DD's bf was also following World Cup and we decided we like watching them in Spanish better than English. So at least I had one person with me yelling at TV. We had several group outings for meals and a visit to San Francisco but other than that the kids were taking their +1 around town showing them their favorite places. I think DS did a better job at that than DD, because DD and her bf were working on east coast time most of the time they were here. They were at their laptops by 6:00 am and off by 2:00 but then kinda tired and taking naps, so they would come alive only around dinner time. I can't wait for the kids to be back home for Xmas. It's gonna be just them so our time spent together will be different and more intimate. I still think the experience was worth trying and it went as smoothly as you can plan for 6 ppl.
QOTD: not much honestly, whatever I had on the list for Xmas was not on sale so I bought a couple of odds and ends just to buy a sales item.
Accountability: during the week the kids were here I didn't pay much attention to my eating. Obv I couldn't eat much, most of my restaurant plates were left with at least 2/3 un eaten, but I ate more than my normal and chocolate/cookies were consumed without restraint. My only saving grace was my daily 5 miles uphill wog, I did them everyday before anybody got up. I'm giving myself a week of my normal eating on IF before weighing myself.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- Left over turkey (you will see this a lot for the this week)
- Cheese, jello
- More turkey
- E: cardio + weight
Happy taco Tue!

Sheila, when I didn't see you post, I was happy for you because I knew you were getting lots of family time.

QJB-It is sooo hard to write a paper on subjects that do not interest you. I feel for you. Damn the apple pie! Smart to toss it in the trash. Just don't do a George Constanza and eat from the trash (a Seinfeld reference) . The mixer sounds like an awesome purchase for your cookie business.
Today is in the office. It is so cold outside; it was 14 degrees on the way to work. Miserable weather. We did get some snow yesterday. I suppose this will be good for the ski season. Other than work no other plans except exercise.
QOTD: I did purchase some shoes that were on sale. As the Black Friday deals started early, I also purchased a few gifts online (half price Keurig, 60% off Lands' End winter jackets, airpods, etc).
Accountability: Excellent
Same meals as yesterday
E: 60 minutes hot power yoga

Good morning from my little perch at home. Always nice to get back to my own bed. My oldest is here, taking him to the airport in two hours and my daughter and her family came over for dinner last night. Ahhh the joy of noise, laughter, teasing. Cannot be overrated! We had a wonderful few days in Mexico, came through customs pretty easily. Apparently we bought too much wine as a group. There were five of us in the car, and we admitted to having 10 bottles. Californian's can only bring one back. Dumb. But it's a deal negotiated because of Napa's influence. The customs officer was so nice and she was letting us go with a warning, and then my son said, "I'm also a Nevada resident". So she gave me a big smile and said next time, one bottle each or bring this guy. Loved it.
Today I need to make 3 doctor appointments, take Ry to the airport, go to my yoga class, try to get in a walk and do a return/exchange at Kohl's, and get some fresh meat and veggies. I've got my to do list and I'm taking it seriously!
Food wise, I just need to carb detox. I let myself enjoy all the things over the long weekend. I also made myself do a workout everyday and today I weigh about what I did when I left. That won't last long if I don't back down on the carbs and sugars. Looking at you peanut butter stuffed pretzels, salty TJ's ruffled chips and wine!
QoTD: I did a bit of shopping early last week, but did not participate in any post Thanksgiving shopping.
Menu today is dicey until I refill the fridge
B: Cottage cheese and hb egg
L: meatball and a little bit of the lasagna I bought for the family last night from a local place. So good, and I can pick out the pasta because the sauce and cheese is so thick and substantial
D: hoping for chicken and sweet potatoes
Peace Everybody!
