What's on your Saturday menu?

Good very early morning everyone...hoping y'all are all still in bed and getting sleep! Sleep has gotten severely elusive yet again for me.

I do have my appointment with my neurosurgeon Monday to hopefully get the pain pump installation scheduled. There is no telling when it'll happen.

Today we'll likely run to Walmart fairly early to get animal stuff. Not sure what else my mom has planned. I made some kick ass turkey soup yesterday. Just a small pot but man did I season that turkey well! The "drippings" were just delicious in the soup. So I'm glad to have that as my meals today after breakfast.

QOTD: what is your favorite way to enjoy thanksgiving, or any holidays, leftovers?

I love a good turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and other things sometimes. I haven't been able to do this really since surgery as it's to filling. I have had mini ones. I also enjoy pot pies and soups.

B: JUST egg bowl w/smoked turkey and some veggies + COFFEE

L: turkey soup with a touch of honey

D: turkey soup or pot pie

S: uhhh left overs LOL

something I made yesterday. Was going for a wreath but I need dark green for that.

Good early morning! The wreath is pretty, even if it's not dark green. I think different colors are fine, I mean, some people have pink trees:-)

QOTD - holiday potatoes turned into potato pancakes. I did bring home enough to make two tomorrow morning:-)

I plan to get in a rowing session before I head out this morning; I am doing a sensory deprivation chamber float this morning; I think it will be interesting if nothing else! I also want to go by my local bookstore for small business Saturday and maybe a couple other small shops but will depend on if I'm super relaxed after the float thing or not.

random funny, I was checking to see if the lemon ricotta cheese or the caraway cheese I like from TJs is listed yet and I noticed on their new products they have "chocolate covered gingerbread folk" and that name just tickled me, I actually laughed outloud and from now on, I will only accept gingerbread folk vs gingerbread man.

menu today

only two cups of coffee and a protein bar before the float

If I go to the bookstore and it's open at that time, I will go to the Indian food chipotle and get 2 samosas and a naan. Can't beat the naan that they make right in front of you!

TBD on dinner

Have a wonderful Saturday everyone!

It was weird; interesting for sure. The pod is huge so I didn't feel claustraphobic....and it's either 150 gallons of water and 300 lbs of Epsom salts or the opposite, I can't remember which but it's crazy buoyant. About halfway through I got board and started doing all my stretching exercises while floating which was fun...and then I got out, got my phone and took pictures inside the closed pod to show my sister. Clearly the whole be still and relax and float part was wasted on me, lol.

I think I would feel the same unless I was in the right mood to just melt into it. Very interesting!

I read your post yesterday that you woke up at 3:22 (without a semicolon) and for just a split second was in a panic that complete overnight regain was a thing.

Nope and I lost 5 lbs during my thanksgiving week away, lol. But 320-30 seems to be my current awake time!

We should have a sleep QOTD sometime. I am better off than 3:20, but only get 8 hours a couple of nights a year.

I'm fine with the three twenty. I only need 4 hours and I'm good. I don't know how I'd get all the things done if I needed more, lol. When I do find I am tired when I wake up, it's usually the sign I'm about to come down with something.

Wow! Losing weight when not at home! Awesomeness

i have had a few early mornings lately. I am happy if it is at least 5 am or later. I had only one 3am wake-up which screwed up my energy for a few days.
