What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
QJB-I am sorry you had to go through with that trauma and anxiety. Happy to hear you have recovered. It sounds like you had a very nice day on Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving was a small affair my turkey was also done sooner than expected however, I had prepped a bunch of the sides ahead of time with the help of DD. So it was just a matter of getting the turkey carved and gravy made I had a bit of everything. Had a bit of racing heart after the meal perhaps due to the sweet potatoes. Lots of leftovers.
I finished the 30 workouts in 30 days with 31 workouts recorded! Yay! Then on Thanksgiving I did do the inferno pilates class, qualified for the planksgiving challenge. There were about 9 qualifiers three of which were women the rest men. I came in second place with a 12 minutes plank hold. I earned a Starbucks $25 gift card. The winner went 15 minutes. I think I could have gone longer but my brain talked me into stopping. I feel a bit of a let down now that the 3 challenges are over (No excuse November, 30 in 30, and plank challenge). They really kept me focused. I guess I need to come up with something for December. I am thinking I would like to build on my plank time so that next year I can smoke my previous time(and competition).
QOTD: I haven't been lost in a very long time thanks to GPS! The time that sticks out was a king time ago when my DH and I were travel nurses moving to Louisiana. To get our nursing license we needed to travel to New Orleans. We arrived after dark and due to my error in map reading we ended up in the wrong side of town. We pulled over to get our bearings and was approached by a "helpful" man who offered directions for money. He became aggressive. My DH calmly reached into our center storage pulled out our concealed carry weapon, laid it on his lap and said "Sorry, we don't have any money for you". The man abruptly backed away from our vehicle and we got he hell out of there!

12 minute plank hold is impressive; great job! I like setting physical challenges every month, whether it's the challenges with my equipment or doing something new.
