What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
hmmm...I"ll have to look for a recipe like that. I've always made sweet casseroles rather than savory, but that could be good. The one I make was in either Bon Appetit or Gourmet magazine about 15 years ago. I make it every year. In addition the usual half & half, sugar, and butter in it, it has crystallized ginger and then a streusel topping that includes shredded coconut and pecans. So yea - lots of calories (I just had about 1/3 of a cup, and even THAT has a lot of calories!). It's so wonderful, though - it's almost like eating a dessert!
Good Morning! Happy Fri-yay! I'm working today so nothing exciting. I'd love to leave early but not sure that can happen.
QOTD: I did not know about the trauma you experienced, I'm glad you have been able to work through that. Last time lost, somewhere when we were in PHX. Very grateful for GPS

Good morning everyone and happy Friday. Yesterday was a great Thanksgiving. It was just my DD and son in law, my husband and I. I did invite my cousin and her family, but she called Wednesday and said that they were congested and had sore throats. She claimed that they probably weren't contagious though. I asked them to please not come. I do not want to be sick.
QOTD- Yes, a few weeks ago. I have driving anxiety and this did not help.
Food for today is leftovers. I am going to keep it light and simple. I have a colonoscopy Monday morning at 6:20. I have been having some left side pain. They have ruled out gynecological issues. Its kind of like a dull ache left of my belly button. My daughter is going to be my admitting nurse that morning, so she will start my IV and get me going. I'll just be happy when it's over and I can quit worrying.
Food-
Turkey and cranberry sauce
deviled eggs
More turkey
Have a great day everyone
Sounds like Diverticulosis. I had it before WLS. I hope they have different findings. It is manageable with diet. I managed mine for about 5 years before I screwed up and had to have surgery. Let us know what they find. Hope it is nothing major.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
Coming to you live from the office today. My plan is to put up a few Christmas decorations to be festive and start on my Holiday cards for my customers. After I leave around noon my plan is to go to grocery because I promised to make eggs in a biscuit for the cafe at church Sunday morning and I need Biscuits and eggs. After that taking down all Fall and steeler decorations, making soup from the turkey carcass and turkey salad from the leftover turkey.
My holiday was lovely. I got up and had coffee and took a hot tub then showered and got ready, but it was too early to put on the bird, so I went for a run. It was beautiful here yesterday actually hit 64°. Ron and I prepared the meal, everyone showed up promptly at 3 and we were fortunate to have the twins spend the day with us. They turned 2 on August but now they are verbal and tell us what they want. I figured it out we are just servants living in their world. When they ask, we jump. But there is a lot of preciousness going on there. They do know us and say our names now it is so cute. I wasn't so cute. I ran around in Gym cloths, never did any make-up and just enjoyed the day it was wonderful.
QOTD: I got turned around in the Venetian Hotel and casino in Vegas and it took like what seemed to be 2 hours to find my way back to civilization. We ended up in some conference area and where there was a bus drop off. For some reason I thought we could get the Tran back that way. It was tons of walking. I am sure there was alcohol involved also.
Accountability: It was Thanksgiving, and I did taste the Vanilla bean Brow butter cheesecake that was such a hit and way too much stuffing that was really good. But for the win no alcohol and a run.
