An herb and cheese biscuit (hockey puck)! Would make again with some changes. Couldn't eat most of it. Or all the stuffing.

Good morning, everybody!

We got up at 3:30 to drive DD to the airport. Slept for a few more hours when we got back, but are up for good.

Yesterday was kind of wierd nutritionally. The kids had donuts, so I had one in the morning. At Crossfit we did a 5 round variation of Fight Gone Bad. Definitely burned off the first donut. Had a second donut when I got home.

At 2:00 I had a plate of Thanksgiving food, but restriction kicked in pretty quickly. Around 6:00, we had cakes and pies, but everything was so sweet and rich that I just had a few bites. I had pistachios while watching the game last night. All in all, I think that I ended up eating fewer calories than a normal day.

For the rest of the weekend, I plan to enjoy the turkey and veggies and try and avoid the cakes and pies. Trish, I will need to get you a better review of the Cranberry Yuzu. They said that I shouldn't try it because it was sweeter than the Bourbon Chocolate pecan that I could only eat a bite of.

Today, I need to log onto my work computer and do a few quick things. Make my Christmas lis****ch a football game at 11:00 and lift this afternoon. Tonight, I will try and avoid shopping trips.

QOTD: I don't usually get lost. Chicago is pretty much laid out in grids and you are never too far from a highway.

Photo Friday: DS living his best life (in fairness he added a Turkey Leg) and the pies.

Breakfast: Leftover omelette from Wednesday breakfast

Lunch: Turkey et. al.

Dinner: In the words of SnoopDog "Martinis, Bikinis, Zucchinis, y'all know the rest." But more likely Turkey.

Have a great day, all!

No, my daughter and youngest son made the cheesecake. They are getting into cheesecakes, so I will have to get a recipe for one of your masterpieces and pass it on. The pies are from Spinning J bakery, which I think Marilyn's mom saw on Good Morning America.

Mornin' All!

I didn't make a pig of myself yesterday, but I still managed to scarf down 2300 calories over the course of the day. I know for a normie that isn't awful, but for me, that's WAY more than I need. I just had one plate of food (and a lunch-sized plate at that) and a piece of pumpkin pie with whipped cream, so it seemed reasonable (well, I had two glasses of wine as well) - but geez those dishes are loaded with calories. Esp stuffing and sweet potato casserole, the two I like the most, unfortunately. I brought some of both home. Hopefully DH will eat a lot of stuffing - it doesn't freeze all that well (but it DOES freeze - it just gets super dry). He doesn't like sweet potato casserole (what's wrong with that guy?), so that's totally on me. But fortunately, that DOES freeze well. I'm thinking of going to Aqua Zumba this morning and potentially biking this afternoon (too cold to bike this morning, but may be OK this afternoon). That should burn off a lot of calories..

QOTD: I can't remember - although as others have said, now with GPS, getting lost is mostly a thing of the past (unless I forget to bring my phone!)

B: I should probably eat something before I go to Aqua Zumba - maybe just a protein bar? (not hungry AT ALL!). Coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake or plain skyr topped with cranberry/cherry compote

not sure on the rest of the day. I am so not thinking about food right now, and I really don't want any of the Thanksgiving leftovers...

have a great day, everyone!

I never eat the sweet potato casserole because it is so sweet, but yesterday I took a few bites and it was delicious. My sister said it was made with sausage. I might try to get that recipe.
